A military chief of Islamic Jihad and an activist killed in the West Bank
NABLUS (the West Bank) - a military chief of the radical movement Islamic Jihad and another activist were killed Saturday by Israeli soldiers with Nablus, in the north of the West Bank, according to Palestinian sedentary sources.
Hani Awidjan, 29 years, chief, for the town of Nablus, out of the brigades of Al-Qods, the branch armed with Islamic Jihad, was killed by an Israeli special unit, operative into civil.
It was mortally wounded and is little deceased after whereas another armed activist, Amid El Masri, 25 years, out of the Brigades of martyrs Al Aqsa, an armed group related to Fatah, were killed on the blow.
This activist had been introduced before like member of the Al-Qods Brigades.
A military spokesman confirmed the operation. He affirmed for its part that a "unit ran up against armed elements and that there was an exchange of shootings".
This death changes to 5.296 the number of people killed since the beginning of Intifada in September 2000, for the four-fifths of the Palestinians, according to an assessment of AFP.
