I agree with you. Western civilization seemingly no longer has the will or confidence of truth to stand up for itself.

All you have to do is to look at Europe to see what will happen to us if we do not get some strong collective leadership and a few freakin' clues.

We will IMO, in our life times watch Europe go down the tubes completely. Knowing they will not stand and fight for their alleged "superior" culture, but will when it finally hits the fan, call us to do the job. There may not be any "men" left in Europe to do the job, but they do know where the last men live. Sadly, there may not be anyone home by the time they wake up.

The way I understand it, the Hebrew can mean having the feeling that they are secure. The walls are an issue, I agree. But, they don't have to be completely safe and secure for Ez to occur. I can picture some sort of treaty being reached giving them the feeling of security and instead the Gog army decides to march.

I agree, and have always assumed this to be the tactic that would be employed. After all, if 2 parties agree to say, a UN Resolution or some such thing, giving the APPEARANCE of security, this would be enough to fulfill the "..dwelling securely..." clause of EZ.

Like I said, I don't know if this is the beginning of the end. Even the most advanced Biblical scholars admit the Bible is not entirely clear about the end times. "Pretribulation" folks like me would say that Jesus comes back twice. The first time, He comes in the clouds to take the existing believers to Him, so that they will be spared the Great Tribulation. (This is the "Rapture.") The time of this coming is unknown. There are lots of other interpretations, and I may be wrong.

You asked if we didn't need 1000 years of peace first, according to the Bible. Actually, no. Revelation seems clear on that point. According to Daniel, the beginning of the seven year Great Tribulation seems to be marked by a peace treaty between Israel and a remarkably charismatic Antichrist. Three and a half years into that period, the Antichrist breaks the treaty and shows his true self. The Great Tribulation ends when Christ destroys Israel's enemies during a battle popularly known as the battle of Armageddon. Then Jesus finally returns to rule the earth for good. During the first 1000 years of Jesus reign, Satan is bound and can do no evil. After this 1000 years of peace, there's a final cleansing of evil and Satan is finally sent to his eternal doom.

This whole subject is scattered throughout the Bible. Revelation, Daniel, Matthew and the letters to the Thessalonians are probably the most pertinent books. If you ever intend to undertake a study for yourself, I would recommend using a good study guide to understand the end times, as it's very scattered and highly symbolic.

Goodness, I never meant to include the military in that statement. I know they're willing and able to fight.

However, wars are started and ended politically. Half of our people are either uninterested or against our self defense. Many of our politicians lack backbone and the media which influences them is treasonous. Unfortunately, they are the people who decide when, where and how our military is to fight. The best military in the world (that would be ours) cannot succeed if they're called home prematurely, or never deployed at all.

Rev 20:7-8 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.

It is my feeling from Rev 20:7-8, that the events concerning Gog and Maygog take place after the release of Satan

I believe that they are two separate events. The second Battle is Satan himself battling the people of God. The first battle appears to be an earthly ruler associated with an earthly land battling Israel. The first battle also ends with Israel burying the dead for 7 months and burning weapons for 7 years. I don't think that will occur in eternity future. In fact, the only things the two battles seem to have in common are Gog and Magog names.

"As Hagee said, paraphrasing the Book of Genesis, Chapter 12:3, 'God will bless those who bless the Jewish people.'"

He didn't finish the verse, which continues to say that God will curse those who curse the Jewish people." Pretty clear. A lot of people are playing with fire -- literally.
