Now that is funny! Also alarmingly accurate.

Shouldn't the teachers put together an appology from Britain to the Third Reich?

"We the peoples of Britain appologize for forcing our cultural values on Hitler with aggression!"

Then Hitler could Join with the Muslims as one mad bomber to another.

But either way, Britain must say; it is NOT wrong. Just different.

This is the logical extension of the Left's well publicized dismissal of
purjury ("so what? anybody else would do it under the circumstances"),
rape ("it's okay if the rapist is a feminist--or his wife is"),
sexual assault ("she's probably lying, and, if she isn't, it's okay anyway because he's one of us"),
lying ("everybody does it"),
blowjobs ("it's not sex"),
mass murder ("they probably had bad childhoods, and, even if they didn't, it's somebody else's fault"),
Immorality ("there's no such thing; it's all relative"),
et al.
The Left is decadence.

This can only have the effect that future generations of children are even more nihilistic than they already are now.
The worst of it is, there are those that do crave moral values, and if we don't give them any, they will look elsewhere for them. And we might not like what they consider 'right' or 'wrong'.....

But it's okay to teach sixth graders how to use condoms.

Fair is foul, and foul is fair...

... the requirement to teach children about Britain’s cultural heritage...

@@@@@

After all the mean old colonials deserve condemnation rather than praise for bringing western civ to large parts of the world.

We have the parallel here with school children being taught that our Founding Fathers were mean old slave owners, not intelligent, farsighted and blessed men who instituted the best form of government yet devised.

They're decades behind us. This goes back to the '70s "values clarification" movement.

Exactly.

Back in my politically active days = pre-great-grandma years - I fought this tooth and nail. It's been in ours schools since the late 70's - (actually before) and anyone not asleep at the wheel knows it and is familiar with the "Change Agents" of "Value Clarification" - that teaches, for example: If someone robs a bank, is that person wrong?

Well, examine their motives = "clarify" their reasons. Are they starving and need money? Do they need money for some other important reason?

The upshot is that if they has a "reason" , then are they really criminals?

Same tearing down of the 10 Commandments, the basic rules that keep any society 'civilized', whether one believes in God. I call them the "Ten Unlesses":

"Thou shalt not Steal...unless..." - you have a compelling reason for stealing. etc. If anyone doubts it is and has been in our schools and who and how - you can be informed and enlightened by perusing the web site of my friend, Charlotte, with whom I worked throughout my state and into Washington. Many the long hours we worked at her dining room table, testified at the state house, introduced bills, sat on committees, served on panels, networked with other groups, including Schlafly's"Eagle Forum" - (had a private tour of the WH and our guest speaker for our conference was Ronald Reagan)

WE fought the good fight - Charlotte still does - and we won some of the battles - delayed many of the onslaughts. But the socialist/communists have the time and money (our tax dollars) to keep on , year after year, and they have a 50 year goal...they know/knew it would take time and are patient. Look up the Socialist and Communist Party of the U.S. - they state it out loud.

As the ancestor of my dear Irish/English friend, Evelyn Burke, Edmund Burke wrote: "All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing"

To me, that includes not only those who know what's going on, but those who hide their heads in the sand so they don't have to know.

Charlotte has devoted her life to this struggle and has suffered the slings and arrows - and threats - from the socialist/Communists/liberals. She knows the signs of S/C/liberalism. She grew up in a Socialist country and lived in Communist countries -

During the years we were working together, she was appointed Senior Policy Adviser in the Office of Educational Research and Improvement (OERI) of the U.S. Department of Education (ED). OERI in DC, under the Reagan Admins.

Excerpt from interview in 2000, in The New American, (when her book: "The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America" came out:" I had arrived at the funding and philosophical source of what I had objected to as a local school board member: the death-mentality survival games; "no right/no wrong" values clarification; behavior modification; globalist education; non-absolutist critical thinking. It didn't take me long to realize that I wasn't going to be able to stop any of it.....

"Q. Can you be more specific in summarizing their overall goal?

"A. They seek to destroy absolute values and cast aside the importance of right and wrong that form the basis of any stable and free society. In other words, they want to undo what our nation?s founders established. To achieve this goal, they seek to train our children precisely as animals are trained, through a Pavlovian conditioning process innocuously called outcome-based (performance-based) education. Those who are "trained" instead of being educated receive tangible rewards for their "correct" answers...

"Q. Did the United Nations set out from its creation to influence the U. S. educational system? A. In 1946, within a year of the founding of the UN, a Canadian psychiatrist named Brock Chisholm spoke before the organization?s World Health Organization (WHO) on "The Psychiatry of Enduring Peace and Social Progress." In his talk, he actually recommended "the reinterpretation and eventual eradication of the concept of right and wrong." By 1948, when Chisholm was serving as the executive director of WHO?s Interim Commission, the journal International Conciliation published his 1946 speech. It contained a glowing preface by his good friend, Communist spy Alger Hiss. Chisholm wanted all teachers retrained in the psychiatric methods."

"...Q. What is your overall answer to the problems you have uncovered?

"...The first step that must be taken is to abolish the Department of Education."

",

This is no less then a full throttle attempt to foster a complete breakdown in the social fabric. Next up, complete anarchy.

and has been taught in our schools for over a quarter of a century - see my post # 27 -

Caution: post 27 is only for those brave enough to look at the evil being perpetrated on our children right here in River City"

This "Moral relativism" is exactly why when my 5-year old son starts school in September, it will be in a private Christian School. I have reviewed their curriculum carefully, and it includes prayer, the pledge of allegiance, patriotic songs, and all the Christian Holidays. Yes they can still call it Christmas and Easter.

"I would think that having interchangeably relative values firmly sticking to you is a handicap. Like a suit of clothes you can't change."

That's what I'm thinking too - the eventual outcome of this will be every man for himself. What works for me no matter how it interferes with the interests of others.

Certainly what might be good or best for ones neighbor will not be in play - if only because ones neighbor will only be out for himself and you would have to survive/protect yourself as best you can.

"Yes they can still call it Christmas and Easter."

Hey I remember them - didn't we used to celebrate them back in the 50's?

Hope your son is blessed by his new school. May the Lord hold him in the shadow of his hand.

Back in my politically active days = pre-great-grandma years - I fought this tooth and nail.

God bless you! There are very few of you out there. Few people get it, and of the ones that do, most are busy with family life.

I was active in the voucher movement back when Billy Bulger was trying to amend the MA state constitution to allow school vouchers. I saw Charlotte speak on several occassions.

If parents knew the goals of the "education" (schooling) elite, they would never put their kids in a gov't school, or at least I hope they wouldn't. But free babysitting is an overwhelming temptation for some people.

Don't know if you've ever seen this.

Marc Tucker's Dear Hilary Letter

It's about schools as "workforce training" centers, tracking of students, assignment of students to careers and jobs, etc.

Next up, complete anarchy

To necessitate the need to bring in those who would "restore order".

Good Lord, why on earth would we need or expect our schools to teach 'right from wrong'? Seriously, the national curriculum (which was initially intended just as a framework of subjects that should be taught) now reads more like a typical New Labour managementbabble assembly of buzzwords. As far as I'm concerned, the less stuff that's in it the better.
