SCHOOLS would no longer be required to teach children the difference between right and wrong under plans to revise the core aims of the National Curriculum. Instead, under a new wording that reflects a world of relative rather than absolute values, teachers would be asked to encourage pupils to develop secure values and beliefs.
The draft also purges references to promoting leadership skills and deletes the requirement to teach children about Britains cultural heritage

Moral relativism. Students are advised to decide when lying, stealing, rape and murder are acceptable. After all there's no longer such a thing as right and wrong anymore! God help the UK.

Well, it's certain that England's Muslim children are growing up "secure in their beliefs." The rest of the children are going to be dead or in servitude anyway when they grow up, so it won't matter.
To: kittymyrib
Taught to apologize for their history, awash in a sea of relativism - you are right this is for the indigenous population only.
Islam will not touch this with a bargepole. For once I agree with them.

If it's all relative and it doesn't matter what you believe, why should you have secure beliefs and values? I would think that having interchangeably relative values firmly sticking to you is a handicap. Like a suit of clothes you can't change.

"deletes the requirement to teach children about Britains cultural heritage "
Their very strength is being scratched from the curriculum. Language, borders, culture. That's the nation.
Britain's enemies are burrowing within like tapeworms. Sounds familiar to Americans.

Yes, internal logic is lacking.
I think the Bible has something about this:
Jdg 21:25 "In those days [there was] no king in Israel: every man did [that which was] right in his own eyes."

Don't worry. Parents should be in charge of this area anyway. Maybe they are making more room in the curiculum for math and science...haha. Only if that were true.

"The requirement to teach Britains cultural heritage will also be removed. The present version states: The school curriculum should contribute to the development of pupils sense of identity through knowledge and understanding of the spiritual, moral, social and cultural heritages of Britains diverse society.
Why is the left so ashamed of our rich cultural heritage. Britain's political and legal heritage has spread all over the world and established freedom for billions. The rule of law, parliamentary representation, protection of private property and free enterprise are what has largely transformed the world from Stalinist and Maoist brutality to some degree of freedom.

Yes parents should teach right and wrong but we don't need the schools working against us.

They want us to apologize for everything - for being here and having an identity.
The British working class culture (in particular) has been sidelined even by the Labour party in favour of some luvvies with university diversification education.
