ha.
What's an "average" power rating for a mid-ratings AM signal?
The usual deal for syndicated programing is to trade programming for air time. That is the syndicator reserved 5 minutes of commerical time per hour.. sells it and keeps all the money. The Station gets the remaining 11 minutes of commercial content to sell and it keeps all the money from its sales. Thus the station pays no cash for the programming it just pays 5 minutes of commerical content.
That is a good deal for the station, becuase to produce its own programming typically will cost more than the income from 5 minutes of air time.
And if the show is a hit.. like Rush and Hannity the 11 minutes of air time the station gets to sell will bring a lot more than 16 minutes of air time for programs the station could produce.
On the other hand the income from 5 minutes per hour going to the syndicator from hundreds of stations covers the cost of the programming hundreds of times over.
But for Air america there is a problem. The local station can't get any sponsors to support the show. In many markets Rush has a waiting list. But no one will buy time on Air America. On top of that the syndicator can't sell it's 5 minutes either. So the five minutes Air america would get to keep produces no reveue either.
That means Air America has to look to people like George Soros to pick up the bills.
What has happened is the station that is dropping Air America has come to the conclusion that it can make more money selling time for conventional shows in the conventional way than brokering time.
They're being bought out by Air France.
One of their biggest problems is that their "audience" has a lot of trouble spelling words like "air" and "America". Real handicap for them.
Why do the liberals need Air America when they have the mainstream media?
Their leaving to day, their shutting it down,
their not a part of it New York, New York.
If they can't make it there, they can't make it any where so Good Bye New York, New York.
HA! Too funny!
I'm fairly sure I heard today an ad saying that Mzzz. Rhodes is going to have her show on XM! WHY they would give that wench a show is beyond me....and I was listening to America Right when I heard this!
'they still try to prove a Pentagon cover up regarding NORAD's actions on 9/11 (said with much sarcasm)'
I was offered some dvds with PROOF that the govt killed everyone in the twin towers and at the pentagon on 9/11. I spit my coke thru my nose at them, laughing....
Good choice. The one on the right looks like a cello anyway.
Air America should invest in a good sized apartment building, get a 5 watt transmitter and invite their entire audience to move to the building where they can all live in peace and kumbaya.
WABC has a great range. I get the NYC station down here in the Outer Banks of NC, loud and clear.
If a crystal radio is the distilled essence of a radio, this transmitter is the matching distilled essence of transmitters.
The transmitter goes together in about 10 minutes, and is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand.
Depending on the antenna, the transmitter can send voice and music across the room, or across the street. Considering Air America's audience, this should be more than adequate.
I put together my first version with simple clip leads (no soldering, no printed circuit board, not even a battery clip). This version is much sturdier and convenient.

Absolutely perfect! Actually, Al Franken could wear one of these while he motors around the city, capturing a larger audience (admittedly for only moments at a time).
Does this surprise anyone? Read the book "America's Right Turn". Liberal radio will never work. The Conservatives rule the alternative media. And "Right"-fully so!
