We’re Losing World War IV ... How to get back to the road to victory.
National Review ^ | August 4, 2006 | By Barbara Lerner

Posted on 08/04/2006 7:47:46 AM PDT by aculeus

The Shiite mullahs who rule Iran and have seized the leadership of the Islamofascist war against us are as dangerous an enemy as America has ever faced. [snip]

In the 1980s, Iran’s mullahs created Hezbollah, a Shiite Arab terrorist group in Lebanon, and used it to drive us from that country the way they drove us from Iran, but this time, they didn’t just humiliate us and mock our impotence; they tortured and murdered our embassy people in Beirut, and blew up 241 of our marines.

[snip]

We should not wait, passively, for the Iranians to unveil their surprise. We should light up the skies with our own surprise: a massive aerial bombardment that wipes out most of Iran’s nuclear facilities, and decimates the ranks of its mullahs as well as those of the Revolutionary Guard and Basij forces that keep them in power ... Retired air force Lt. General Tom McInerney already has a plan to wipe out most of Iran’s nuclear facilities from the air. As I’ve argued, we should augment it with additional targets and let fly, as soon as possible, with no forewarning, for maximum effect. Lt. Col. Gordon Cucullu, one of the few who argues in public for a similarly bold course sums it up this way:

By waiting for a first strike we are put in a position of playing a retaliation game after we have already endured unacceptable losses in population and perception. Once America and Israel are seen as weak enough to defeat, then the international jackals will all join in for the kill. This is what our enemies hope to accomplish…We face a crisis of major proportions. Hesitation may be fatal.

He’s right. The time to act is now.

I don't think any of us know the exact criteria needed for the gas chamber.

Muslims, Christians, Jews, gays, men, women, children....We don't know exactly who was gassed and why.

Maybe not - but we DO know the biggest targets were:

Jews, Gypsies, Homosexuals, Priests and Political enemies.

Well, I believe Karl Heinrich Ulrichs was the founder of the gay rights movement. As to whether Hitler was bisexual, homosexual, or just an outright antisocial neurotic is pretty moot in my view of where some of these commie cells birthed.

We’re Losing World War IV

When did WW III finish? I must have missed the memo.

The notion that the German army could conquer and occupy even the westernmost portion of Russia doesn't seem like a credible scenario to me.

Remember -- this was the same army that lost to the Soviets primarily because it needed to allocate 38 divisions of German and Italian troops (600,000 in all) to occupy Yugoslavia, which had a total population of only 15 million people back then.

We will have to disagree, I'm afraid.

The Mongols conquered and ruled Russia for centuries with a great deal less power than the Germans had available to them.

Yugoslavia and Russia are a little apple and orangish. Yugoslavia - rugged heavily forested mountains. Russia - extensive plains, nowhere to hide.

While the Germans might not have been able to rule the Russians and exploit their labor, I think there is little doubt they could (and probably eventually would) have exterminated them.

should we wait until Iran nukes Israel?

Unfortunately, I think we are because our leaders have not yet realised that The UN is not getting anywhere.

You're right! These are not people where diplomacy can work. In fact, if you have noticed, where diplomacy seems to begin to work is when these terrorists begin their heavy bombings.

Face it! In order to make peace with these people we must first grow beards, buy a prayer mat, chain our wives and daughters (outlaw feminism), behead gays, athiests, jews and christians and burn Madonna albums.

Bump!

Interesting how fast the "What Me Worry" crowd showed up to try and deflect common sense with their aspersions.

Good thing this twit is not in any position to command our brave sons and daughters. One thing you never tell the enemy is that you are losing. As a matter of fact, you never tell them you are winning either. What you do is catch them by such surprise, that all they can do is pull off their nickers and hope they are white enough to serve as a white flag!

I just find it very interesting.

Stalin's Soviet Industrialization plans had Germany targetted to be overtaken and outstripped of their technology and to insert a new political system.

Germany has it documented that Hitler wasn't able to produce Aryan Citizenship papers.

Hitler vanishes the next day.

Hitler is just sounding more and more like Al Qaeda to me.

Stalin's Soviet Industrialization plans had Germany targetted to be overtaken and outstripped of their technology and to insert a new political system.

True but good evidence indicates that was Stalins plan before Hitler launched Operation Barbarossa.

Germany has it documented that Hitler wasn't able to produce Aryan Citizenship papers.

Yes but who would dare demand them? as with any socialist elite, laws are meant for the masses.

Hitler vanishes the next day.

Hitler was married when the Red Army was within a few blocks of the Reich Chancellery. Had he not committed suicide, German forces in the immediate vicinity might have held out for an additional day or two but never-the-less, he would have been killed or taken captive by the Red Army within the week.

Hitler is just sounding more and more like Al Qaeda to me.

I'm not sure I understand your point.

Here's a big step we can take to get back on the road to winning WWIV.

I believe this would significantly improve our strategic position in the War on Terror.

We should destroy the Iranian oil industry. By Bombing all oil transportation facilities, pipelines, storage tanks, tanker trucks, rolling stock, refinery’s etc… we can cripple the funding of numerous terrorist organizations, Hezbollah, Hama’s, Sadr’s militia, Syria, as well as make it more difficult for Iran to buy missiles and such from North Korea, China, and Russia.
It would remove Iran’s threat that if we attack they will shut off the oil. Making the threat ridiculous and demonstrating that they are a single product state and without oil, and no other product that the world wants, they are nothing. Additionally, by declaring that we will destroy any reconstituting oil industry as long as the Mullacracy remains in charge, we can focus the Iranian’s blame for the situation, on the Theocracy and their support of Terrorism.
This will also bring home to all the other oil producing countries like Venezuela, Libya, Saudi Arabia, the Gulf States, etc… that they are very vulnerable to the same tactic.
In addition, this will gain us time for the Iraqi’s to stand on their own, and free up troops we would need if we have to go into Iran, North Korea or somewhere else.
Sure the price of gas will rise, but this will also demonstrate to the world that the USA is not in Iraq for the Oil, and the onus can be shifted on to the Democrats for not allowing more domestic production.
“It’s not the control of the spice but the power to destroy the spice that is the real power.”
It has recently been said that the nuclear production facilities in Iran are so deep underground that we can’t reach them with conventional weapons. Perhaps so, but maybe we can starve those facilities of funds. Nuclear weapons are terribly expensive to build, and if Iran now needs all its money to repair vital life supporting infrastructure, it may have to slow or stop its attempt to build an atomic bomb.
Finally, Iran is a state sponsor of Terrorists, it must be punished, and it must be seen to be punished. Iran’s continued sponsorship of terror is a slap in America’s and President Bush’s face, and it must be answered.
The following was written in response to an objection I received about having to pay more for fuel if this strategy was followed.
I think you are overly concerned about the economic considerations, and not concerned enough about the need to prosecute the War on Terror to the utmost.
1. The US has a full Strategic Petroleum Reserve of 700 million Barrels, and we aren't the only nation with an SPR. What good is it if you never use it? The average price paid on that 700 million barrels was $27, so the nation would actually make a profit selling it now.
2. The only reason the US isn't energy independent now is because of political factors. 2 Trillion Barrels of oil in oil shale (see www.oiltechinc.com). Any organic matter can be turned into fuel (see www.powerenergy.com). The US would and should be using much more Nuclear power if it wasn't for the Ecofreaks. There are also many areas in the US that are now off limits to drilling. All it takes is the political will to develop all of these. Higher fuel prices will provide that political pressure.
3. Iran is using diplomatic processes, just like the Nazi's before them. Talking is a waste of our time.
4. Iran subsidizes gas at $.10 a gallon, so by destroying the Iranian oil industry not only do we instantly remove 20% of their GDP. We put them all on foot, and in the dark.
5. The mullahs want to take their world back to the 7th century, we should assist them.

Operation Barbarossa doesn't mean anything. If WW2 was a plan to overtake Germany from the inside out, Operation Barbarossa would be useful in troop depletion.

>>>Yes but who would dare demand them?

They did. So obviously they dared.

>>>Had he not committed suicide

That hasn't been proven.
