I think the unemployment rate says far more about those 5 people out of 100 that are not employed that it does on America's economy.

Hey Dimwit, if the middle class hadn't gotten the Bush tax cuts they'd have no increase in net income. No generalities - take a stand: Would you raise our taxes on the assumption that our wages would go up faster? Do you think raising the minimum wage will create more, or fewer jobs? Last question: Are you as stupid as you think we are? Think hard on that one.

If the minimum wage goes up,minimum wage workers will get less hours.Who works for 9 years on a minimum wage job? The Dems are truly lost.

Other than one's first month in fast food, what jobs actually pay minimum wage anyway?

NO! Of course not. Any economic strength prior to this monthly report was due to the tax/economic policies of the Clinton Administration, which Bush has now completely undone. (sarc)

"...Republicans proposed tying a pay raise for hard-working Americans to tax breaks for the privileged few that will drive up the already record national debt..."

And Nancy, for your information, you are one of the priveledged you speak of. If what you say is true, YOU have driven up the national debt. You have not given back the money you made from the so called tax breaks for the priveledged few and furthermore, you refuse to unionize your workers on your restaurant and hotel properties because you KNOW it will result in a higher "living wage" which will come out of YOUR DEEP POCKETS>

You filthy P.O.S.

This is part of the base of the Democrat Party -- the uninspired, the unmotivated, the unskilled, the uncreative, the thoroughly dependent.
---

Exactly the truth!

Heck, if minimum wage increases enough I'll quit my demanding job which requires an educaton and go flip burgers.

I don't think they're stupid. I don't think they even believe what they are saying. What they are doing is trying to manipulate people stupid enough to believe their propaganda. All they want is to be back in power and will say or do anything to get there but they can't do it without the truly stupid, lazy, greedy masses voting them back in. I guess there's another category who supports them, which is where certain members of my family come in...the bleeding hearts. Sigh.

All of those interest rate increases have nothing to do with a slowing economy. The Fed has no influence at all Nancy. Idiot.

It is obvious that her last face-lift has left her skin stretched so tight her brain cells cannot breathe. I guess we should not blame her. If your skin was stretched tighter than a snare drum you'd probably have trouble thinking clearly also.

Meanwhile, ignore the fact that 5.5 million jobs have been created since 9-11, ignore full employment, ignore that in 3 years since the tax cut the economy has grown by $2.2 trillion dollars, the equivalent of the entire Chinese economy or by 15%. Witch. Go have another face lift.

This woman ranks right up there with "Baby-Fat" landrieu and "Mee Maw" blanc-0".

This supports being able to say, not only is Louisiana in trouble.

It is immoral that millions of workers earning the minimum wage have not gotten a raise in nine years.

??? You mean you have millions of workers who have been working the same minimum wage job for nine years? Uh, I think after nine years of work, 99% of those employed have moved up and above minimum wage and the other 1% have problems that cannot be solved by any president. Nancy seems not have a grasp of economics.

I can tell you right now, raising the minimum wage in a scorching hot economy is not going to matter a hill of beans in November.

This troll of a woman must data-mine these documents, waiting in breathless anticipation for a negative report to bash the republicans. She has no clue about economics. Accept, of course, when it affects her massive wealth

Sound like you're bankrupt. The broken record keeps skipping the needl;s back: "Bashbush Bashbush Bashbush Ba- - - -- ---"
