It is also true that most of ISG's searching was done in documents and not on the ground.
It is true that the ISG was understaffed and wasn't up to the task of translating the huge volume of Iraqi WMD documents.
It is also true that only a percentage of suspected sites have been thoroughly searched since a number of locations were deliberately submerged and will have to be pumped out. Enviromental advocates will probably scream if it isn't done with a gazillion precautions to prevent contamination.
It is true that we spotted trucks leaving known WMD facilities before the war, destined for Syria.
It is also probably true that the Russians helped Saddam remove some WMD. [Look up "Primakov"]
And it's true the media thinks every drum of precursor chemicals is just bug spray.
And it's true that the UN was going to step in and use some of their old resolutions against us if we found any and were trying to keep Iraq under sanctions, new government or not, to prevent Iraq's economic recovery.
What may not be true are his World-Net-Daily-alleged opinions on reasons why the WMD issue was played as it was.
Dems will say Bush was careless and let WMD's slip away into the hands of terrorists.
And the press will get selective amnesia about the thousands of dem comments about Saddam never having WMD.
We know that Dems will say anything including contradicting something they said one minute before. However it will exceptionally difficult for libs to blame Bush when they've been screaming "NO WMDS!!!" for the last three years. Finding Hussein's recently manufactured wmds would be nothing but a huge coup for Bush. American's are smart enough to realize who the real liars are...as usual Dems and libs.
