I am convinced that his work has had an impact on the national understanding that Hussein indeed was culpable for the majority of charges...

Of course it has, as far as FR reaches. But the media, for the most part, has been trumpeting the "no wmd" story, fueled bu Bush's own statements that we didn't find them. They are not about to change that story before the election. In fact, they are doing everything to reinforce the lies. "No WMD's", "No Connection to al-Queda", "No Threat to The US", "An Optional War", "Bush Lied", etc., ad nauseum.

They have an election to influence. Damn the facts and full-speed ahead!

No you're not the only person that remembers. Dr Bob Arnot reported about the arsenic in the river and commented that it had to be a very large amount to reach his location. MSNBC promptly fired him for biased reporting.

See #52. It's an AP story - the last paragraph shows the motive IMO.

"As Israeli troops and Hezbollah guerrillas battled in Lebanon on July 21, a Fox News segment suggested, with no evidence, yet another destination for the supposed doomsday arms.

"ARE SADDAM HUSSEIN'S WMDS NOW IN HEZBOLLAH'S HANDS?" asked the headline, lingering for long minutes on TV screens in a million American homes."

(of course some are, but if they didn't exist (or than in the minds of conservatives,) then they couldn't be, could they?)

quoting the opinion (bought and paid) of Scott Ritter tells me all I need to know about this trashy article.
