Thanks. I had no idea lotteries give you the base amount of what should be required to give you the advertised amount in the future at a modest rate of return.
What a rip-off.
I learned something new.
Anybody with a decent set of brains could invest that amount and make much more than the 200 million anyway, previding they are young enough for a good time of return.

What would really be funny is if the winning ticket somehow got lost somewhere at the cheese factory and the employees were searching everywhere to find it - including the vats of cheese. Now that would make for great television.

A typical hillbilly from Tennessee would take the money and buy a trampolene, to put in the yard where the trailer is.
Then, they'd get one of them BIG satelitte dishes, to put right out next to the road, so everybody could see it and know how advanced said RN are.
Throw in a BIG shopping trip to Wal-Mart, to get one of them big balloon like swimming pools, some plastic flowers to plant in the old toilet seat we threw out last year when we had to buy a new one, a couple of ceramic frogs, deers, and NASCAR creations, and we'd be the some of the most advanced, cultered folks in my neighborhood (grin).

I think the IRS taxes it as a bonus, or award, and not as straight income. You are most surely correct about the state taxes, although I do not know what WI charges, it's highly unlikely they will not take their 'cut' of the prize. ;)
