Are we a world at war?
Minneapolis Star Tribune ^ | July 30, 2006 | David Bosco

A Sarajevo assassin's bullets in 1914 lit the spark that became WWI. Today, some say it wouldn't take much to ignite yet another global conflict.

It was late June in Sarajevo when Gavrilo Princip shot Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife. After emptying his revolver, the young Serb nationalist jumped into the shallow river that runs through the city and was quickly seized. But the events he set in motion could not be so easily restrained. Two months later, Europe was at war. The understanding that small but violent acts can spark global conflagration is etched into the world's consciousness. The reverberations from Princip's shots in the summer of 1914 ultimately took the lives of more than 10 million people, shattered four empires and dragged more than two dozen countries into war. This hot summer, as the world watches the violence in the Middle East, the awareness of peace's fragility is particularly acute. The bloodshed in Lebanon appears to be part of a broader upsurge in unrest. Iraq is suffering through one of its bloodiest months since the U.S.-led invasion in 2003. Taliban militants are burning schools and attacking villages in southern Afghanistan as the United States and NATO struggle to defend that country's fragile government. Nuclear-armed India is still cleaning up the wreckage from a large terrorist attack in which it suspects militants from rival Pakistan. The world is awash in weapons, North Korea and Iran are developing nuclear capabilities, and long-range missile technology is spreading like a virus. Some see the start of a global conflict.

"We're in the early stages of what I would describe as the Third World War," former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said recently. Certain religious websites are abuzz with talk of Armageddon. There may be as much hyperbole as prophecy in the forecasts...

Are we a world at war? ----

****

Yes, and we better be.

If anyone heard that interview of the "ex-terrorist" by Sean Hannity yesterday afternoon, they would surely know that these are very bad times and to get much worse.

That interview was extremely compelling .............. pretty amazing for Vanity's show.

Contrary to common belief, Princip was not a member of the Black Hand, but was a member of the group Young Bosnia (Mlada Bosna), which he joined in 1911. The Young Bosnia Movement was a group made up of Serbs, Croats, and Bosnian Muslims, committed to achieving independence for Bosnia.

Are we at war?? Don't take my word! Take theirs!

HADITH Sahih Muslim [41:6984] Abdullah b. 'Umar reported that Allah's Messenger (may Pigs be inseminating him) said: The Jews will fight against you and you will gain victory over them until the stone would say: Muslim, here is a Jew behind me; kill him.

"Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant. The Qur'an should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on earth"
--Omar Ahmed, Chairman of the Board of CAIR (Council of American Islamic Relations), San Ramon Valley Herald, July 1998

Qur’an 8:12 “I shall terrorize the infidels. So wound their bodies and incapacitate them because they oppose Allah and His Apostle.”

Qur’an 8:57 “If you gain mastery over them in battle, inflict such a defeat as would terrorize them, so that they would learn a lesson and be warned.”

Quran-4:89— Take not friends from their ranks until they flee in the way of Allah. But if they turn renegades, seize them and kill them wherever ye find them; and take no friends or helpers from their ranks.

Sura 9:5 of the “Koranus,” “Slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them captives and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush.”

"Make war upon such of those to whom the Scriptures have been given as believe not in God." Sura 9:29

"Strike off their heads then, and strike off from them every finger tip." - Sura 8:12

Hopefully we can kill them before they get away with killing too many of our folks.

Apparently they haven't killed enough Americans for this country to wake up. I am just hoping their next big attack is in another heavily lefty city.

It seems to me that in "World Wars" of the past, the countries involved held very little back as far as utilizing available military assets.

Such being the case, about ninety minutes before we win, you can start calling it a "World War."

This world has been in this war since that child-rapist mohammed started to spew his vile nonsense. The koran says quite plainly that non-muslims must be converted or killed. That's the war we are in. Victory for us is achieved when there is no one left who believes that crap.

I have been saying that for months if not years. This country does not act like it is at war. We have young men and women fighting and dying as we head to the mall without thinking about our freedoms to do so. It is better to fight the ragheads 7,000 miles away.

Missed it, but I can imagine what was said. The goal of the islamists is to keep things low key enough that the rest of us don't effectively fight back until it is to late.
