Asylum seekers 'killed after being forced out of Australia'

Australia's hardline immigration policy was dealt a heavy blow yesterday with claims that up to nine asylum seekers forcibly repatriated to Afghanistan were murdered on their return home.
The Edmund Rice Centre, a Catholic advocacy group, investigated the fate of nearly 200 Afghan asylum seekers who were returned home after being kept at an Australian-run detention centre on the South Pacific island of Nauru.
The group said that "as many as nine men returned from Nauru may have been killed, and three children of people sent back from Nauru can be confirmed as having been killed" in 2002 and 2003.
Investigators learned of the deaths and abuse during interviews with asylum seekers in Kabul, the group's director, Phil Glendenning, said. "We believe they were killed, shot or bombed after returning," he told The Australian newspaper.
The immigration minister, Amanda Vanstone, said the government would not launch an investigation because it had not been provided with enough detailed information, a claim that was contradicted by the ERC.
Killed by adherents of the "Religion of Violins" I suppose.
By whom, under what circumstances, one wonders...
So the 2.5 billion of the world's people who might be,or are being, oppressed have a right to settle in Australia?
guess they wanted to make sure....surprised the traditional family gathering for a beheading wasn't in order....but alas.....if their not sure how they died, then wait a few weeks, maybe the MSM can't get a photo or two
Doogle
The convluted reasoning exihibited here asumes that Australia is responsible for bombing or shooting these
so-called asylum-seekers. I hope the author is abducted and gets their throat slit.
If Australia doesn't want their immigration laws anymore, can we have them?
Please?
Send 'em packing! Australia is not a dumping ground for Islam. Muslim immigrants have demonstrated they are the worst possible immigrants.
A UK poll just showed great sympathy among Muslims for that cowardly bombing of the London transport system
So the deaths aren't confirmed? Just one other question: Is "killed" different than "shot or bombed"? Some believed Cotton was a monkey, but that doesn't make it so.
I don't see what the problem is. A lot of people may be better off now. Some people just need killing.
That will learnem
Who cares!
The group said that "as many as nine men returned from Nauru may have been killed,...
Which is it, killed or may have been killed? Reporters are stupid. The stories are on a prepubescent level.
They would have ended up in a "madrassa", spreading Islamic insanity and zealotry, and inciting the rape of Australian women who dare to dress in anything but a burqa.
I'm sorry, but I'm running a bit thin on sympathy for any Muslims these days.
My sympathy for moozies evaporated a looooong time ago!
The Australian Parliament is debating legislation right NOW that would strengthen immigration laws.
In other words, they have no clue what happened to any of them, but were willing to take the word of people who had an obvious personal interest in convincing Australians that they (the new batch of asylum seekers in Kabul, who for all we know are Taliban plants) must be allowed to stay in comfy digs Down Under.
So which was it?
Were they killed?
Were they shot and survived?
Were they shot and died?
Were they bombed and survived?
Were they bombed and died?
And what is the 'we believe' part? For all we know this guy believes the moon is made of green cheese. I don't care what he 'believes'. If he knows for a fact, that's different. I still wouldn't care, but it would be different.
But he offers absolutely no evidence for his 'beliefs'.
The reporter who wrote this story is completely incompetent. There's not a single follow up question asked, just a regurgitation of this Glendenning fellows 'beliefs'.

The sentiment is spreading rapidly. When will it 'boil over?'
