Soft on terrorism...harsh on Jews.
Makes perfect sense...New England is VERY 'Euro-centric'. I just moved back south...
Norm Coleman has an ACU lifetime rating of 78. Not a through-and-through conservative, but far from the most liberal Republican. That award goes to Chafee, with Specter and the Maine gals tied for 2nd.
I guess the Commies were in the Demcorat PArty as far back as FDR.
I remember reading that Democrat Bella Abzug (of Watergate Infamy) actually was an opponent of U.S. involvement in WW2 until Hitler double-crossed her buddy and attacked Russia.
According to Ann Coulter's Treason, the FDR administration was infested with Commie fifth columnists.
As far back as the Civil War, the Dems were a subversive element in American politics.
Thanks for the compliments on the tagline.
Years ago I bought a Bumper Sticker that said that from a group called the Lithuanian Liberation Front - an anti-Communist group operating under the Soviet occupation.
The other part of the tagline is the Motto of the Knights Templar, another group I always admired and still do.
Agree. Coleman is a relative moderate.
2000'z Connecticut: "How kin you vote for that guy, he's a Gaw-Damned JOOOOooo."
Congratulations, Democrats. You just sent Connecticut 70 years into the past and hundreds of miles south.
My ditty isn't THAT little.
Kidd, do you really think Lieberman is the the RIGHT of Chaffee? Not even close. Except for the WOT, JL is as LIBERAL as you get.
Did you hear Chrisyboy Matthew's commentary about Lieberman, called him "a schmaltzy, ethnic, Uncle Tunoose kind of guy." If that is not a denigrating reference to Joe's Jewishness, I don't know what is? The Dems are going to be exposed for the railing, irrational, and dangerous lefties they have allowed themselves to become.
Scratch a Liberal and you will ALWAYS find a racist.
No.
I can't stomach listening to that phoney. I know he campaigned for a wacko Dem some time ago - was it Gary Hart??
I agree that Sen. Lieberman is a decent man and deserved better than he got. However, he was still a pretty liberal Democrat on most domestic issues. It may very well be a tough year for Republicans because of the war, gas prices, immigration, etc. If we can take advantage of the split among Democrats and maybe elect a Republican Senator from a very blue state, we should do it. Listening to Fred Barnes and others leads me to believe some Republicans are getting too soft.
"But hearing a Connecticut Democrat on the local radio across the Long Island Sound sneering that Joe Lieberman is the Senator "from Israel"...In truth? I almost ran off the road."
I almost fell out of the chair. Is this really true, that Lamont said this? Why has no one but the American Spectator reported it? This terrifies me. Ordinarily it wouldn't, but in light of that woman being murdered in Seattle, and the war going on in Lebanon and the many terrorists schmoozing statements from Dems like Rangel, et al, it does. Here is proof positive that the Dems want us to surrender to the Jihadis.
Thanks for posting this Mike. This really isn't about Lieberman at all, is he a big liberal, if he full of bs (aren't all pols?), will he win as an independant. This guy was their party's veep candidate just two elections ago, now they've completely thrown him down the stairs. I was thinking yesterday that there was more than a wiff of anti-semitism in the Dem party's rejection of him. Now it is plain to see.
Pinging you Alouette, not sure this is really up your alley or not.
Amen. Heck, if I didn't question the Democrats' patriotism -- -- or, to put it more accurately, their willing to defend America -- I might even be one. I'd certainly vote for them more often.
Scratch a liberal and you will uncover a rascist.
WHOA!!!! I posted on another thread that they'd go anti-Semitic, but I thought it would be more subtle, and closer to the election. This is really surprising, this obvious and this early.
I don't remember which candidate, but "Lardball" or is it "Screwball" Matthews started out as an "operative" for the DemonRat Party. I understand he was a "researcher", i.e., he dug up dirt on political opponents.
Connecticut's Shame
