The party of FDR, Harry Truman, and JFK pretty much ended in 1972 with the nomination of George McGovern. The radical lefties have now completed their takeover by purging the likes of Zell Miller and Joe Liberman who were the last remnants of the old party. The Democratic Party has now morphed into something like the Green or radical Socialist Parties.

I read an article this morning that quoted a Dhimmicrat, Lamont supporter stating: “This will show Republicans that there is blood in the water!

So far... the only blood in the water is theirs... spilt in a primary. Lieberman will soundly defeat the Kos-Kommie in November due to savvy, CT Republican voters... and Lieberman will remember all the Dhimmi's who rose up against him.

Given those who opposed him, I have no doubt that this, more than any other factor, including the war, was what led to Lieberman's defeat.

Oddly enough, Run Kuby himself is Jewish and lived in Israel at one time.

This may be the beginning of the split of the Democrat party
It may also be the end of the Jewish vote for them and more importantly of Jewish funding
I simply cannot understand how any Jew could still be a democrat now that their antisemitism is so blatantly exposed

I think it's terrible what happened to Joe. I liked him. But, hey, he IS a Dem, after all!

Now is the time to throw all of the support, and dollars, we can muster to the Pubby candidate...

Alan Schlesinger for U.S. Senate

It doesn't appear that he has a fighting chance, BUT, with Joe in the race as an indy, it could, very well, splinter the vote and give our guy a shot.

Perhaps a "FRee Connecticut" fund raiser from us FReepers?

For 20 years, Alan Schlesinger has been serving the citizens of Connecticut at the local and state level. Now, he wants to take that experience and make a difference for all of us in the U.S. Senate.

As a two term Mayor of the City of Derby and a six-term State Representative, Alan has extensive legislative experience as well as working knowledge of the challenges that our towns and cities currently face.

A new perspective in Washington.

A leader who truly understands the needs of the citizens of Connecticut.

Alan Schlesinger for the U.S. Senate!

* Alan was born and raised in Connecticut.

* Graduate of Amity Regional High School
(Orange, Woodbridge, Bethany)

* Graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Law

* Honor graduate of the Wharton School of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania

MORE:

Political Experience:

* Two term Mayor of the City of Derby: 1994-1998

Defeated a popular Democrat Incumbent and Re-elected with over 80% of the vote as a Republican in a City with a 4 to 1 Ratio of Democrat to Republican registration.

Alan brought the City of Derby out of a deep deficit situation to a surplus and then reduced taxes.

* Six term State Representative: 1981-1993

Defeated a popular Democrat Incumbent, leading the ticket and winning by large margins in a predominantly Democrat District

* Ranking Republican on the Banking Committee (1987-1993)
* Vice Chairman of the Education Committe (1985-1986)
* Chairman of the Special Revenue Sub-Committee (1983-1984)
* Served on the Judiciary, Finance and Government Administration and Elections Committees
* Member of the National Conference of State Legislatures

Alan was a consistent taxpayer watchdog, warning of the state budget crisis several years before the implementation of the state income tax. Alan attempted to avert fiscal problems by offering many progressive tax and spending alternatives.

* Selectman (Town of Orange): 1979-1981

Defeated popular Democrat Incumbent

Alan worked hard for his local constituents from the time he was a volunteer in school.

Education:

* University of Connecticut School of Law: J. D.
* Wharton School of Finance of the University of Pennsylvania: B. S. in Economics
* Amity Regional High School (Orange, Woodbridge, Bethany)

Private Sector Experience:

* Partner in the Law Firm of Schlesinger and Barbara, LLC (Shelton, CT)

Connecticut Residency:

A lifelong resident of Connecticut, Alan grew up in Orange and has lived in both Derby and Woodbridge as an adult.

But hearing a Connecticut Democrat on the local radio across the Long Island Sound sneering that Joe Lieberman is the Senator "from Israel"...In truth? I almost ran off the road.

Dimocrats, bigots??? This can't be true.....
I wasn't a Dim who called New York Hymietown....Oh, wait, it was. (Je$$ie Jack$son)
Well, at least it wasn't a Dim who said the N-word on nation TV....Oh, wait, it was. (Sheets Byrd)
I am certain that the Dims are not the party with a former Klan member in the Senate....Oops, my mistake. (Sheets Byrd again.)
At least they aren't the party that founded the Klan. Sorry, they did that, too.
Anti-lynching legislation. They opposed that.
Standing in the schoolhouse door. Check.

Interesting that you mention Scoop Jackson.

US Senator Henry M. Jackson, from Washington State, had very few Jewish members in his constituency, he supported Israel out of principle. This is a principle that DemonRats have totally forgotten, and now, completely repudiated. May the Jewish people in this country finally wake up, and realize which party still supports Israel on principle.

Does he really have a chance to pull a Jesse Ventura? (where he gets 34 percent of the vote, and his opponents get 33 percent each?)

The Democratic party's mainstream has moved to the left. While it has always had the liberal/socialist domestic agenda that remains unaltered (they would love to duplicate the French socialist model here in the USA), many Democratic leaders have exhibited leadership on national defense. FDR and Truman in particular were good wartime leaders (except for FDR's late days trusting Stalin and Truman's no victory approach in Korea), and you knew their hearts were in the right place. Kennedy was from the same cut, and Johnson, despite his stupid handling of Vietnam, wanted to defend America. Starting with McGovern, the Democrats reinvented the Henry Wallace, surrender, appeasement and "no war" approach. War is not the answer!

There are NO Democrats that have the intestinal fortitude to confront Islamicfacism. Kerry was an example of a typical Democrat, he claims to support the Military but in reality views military action with suspicion. Bill Clinton's policies seriously hurt the CIA's cover ops and his military strategy generally called for bombing as the solution. Hildebeast's strategy will be even more to the left than Bill's if she is elected. Also, her strategy will depend on whether or not it helps her personally.

Look, Connecticut is a pathetic state with a pathetic history. Its legislators held off for a century before finally deciding in January 2005 to create a Connecticut Hall of Fame. They had to hold off because there were so few worthy of consideration.

Fact: 75% of Jews vote for Dems and are its second most loyal constituency after blacks.

Fact: 9 out of the 11 Jewish senators are Dems and the two Rep senators, Specter and Coleman, are the most liberal in the GOP. The nine Dem Jewish Senators: Boxer, Feingold, Feinstein, Kohl, Lautenberg, Lieberman, Levin, Schumer, and Wyden are (except for Lieberman) are among the most liberal in Congress, even for the Dems.

Fact: 25 of the 26 Jewish Congressmen in the House are Dems. They are extremely liberal. The lone Rep, Eric Cantor(R-VA), is a true conservative.

Political philosophy has more to do with the Jewish allegience to the Dems than religion. Party loyalty comes before religion. I think it is a mistake to view this as a religious issue.

If Lieberman is the Senator from Israel, then Lamont is the Senator from Hezbollah.

What a bumper sticker!
