The telephone survey, which had an error margin of 3 percentage points, showed 61 percent believed at least some U.S. troops should be withdrawn from Iraq by the end of 2006. I admit it: I believe that "at least some U.S. troops should be withdrawn" by the end of the year (if at all feasible). That puts me in the 61% category. I guess that means I am opposed to the war.

Well I support a withdrawl from the suni triangle. Partition it off. Let the Suni's and Shites kill each other. At the same time redeploy those troops to the Iranian border.

said the poll of 1,047 Americans. Not registered voters; and I'm willing to bet most of them were Democrat voters. Poll is useless and only Drive-By spin propaganda for 2006 elections.

Reuters have been busted already with their bias reporting so I guess they will go ahead and come out of the closet.

What do you base your thought that troops should be withdrawn.
Don't you know that if were not fighting the terrorist in Iraq that we would be fighting them here.
This war may not be over in our lifetime.
Just get on with your life and let the military do its job to keep us safe.

Why don't they just say 100% and be done with it already? Or maybe 105%. Yeah that's it.

Now the media push begins. They will cut, paste (or in Reuters case doctor), words and images to give the impression Ned Lamont's win is a "national mood"

60% Really???
Interesting considering the poll in Connecticut yesterday showing 52% of those voting supported the Anti-War candidate....
...and that was just amongst the liberals in a blue state.
Nationwide it's probably around 15-20%.

Al Reuters is now using Adnan Hajj to manufacture "polls" too?
Thought they let the sucker go?
Didn't know he'd been redeployed to the Reuters "polling" department. :)

There will be no pre-set time tables for withdrawal of troops.
Troops will be withdrawn when conditions on the ground warrant it.
We still had huge numbers of troops in Germany over 50 years after the end of WWII.
That's why Europe didn't have any major wars for over 50 years.
Before that, Europe was constantly fighting wars.

Congratulations, media!

NOW - let's kick the living crap out of the enemy, take their land, take the all the oil we can get our hands on, and leave.
Yeh - I am opposed to the war...
So lets win - and leave.

I'm surprised the headline from 'reuters' wasn't "Americans ready to surrender, 'un' to be advised within 24 hours".

It just amazes me that Democrats believe they can run in November on Iraq. As bad as this looks, the second table below is even uglier for the Dems.
