Muslims/Arabs Concerned About McKinney's Possible Replacement

(CNSNews.com) - The Council on American-Islamic Relations wants the man who beat Cynthia McKinney in Tuesday's congressional runoff election to meet with Muslim and Arab-American leaders -- "to discuss his recent remarks implying that voters with Arabic names may be 'terrorists.'" According to CAIR, Johnson -- in a televised debate with Rep. Cynthia McKinney -- said, "...but since we're talking about Middle East policy, I will say that the abundant number of contributors to Mrs. McKinney's campaign are, have Palestinian and Arab surnames, now I could accuse her of being under the control of terrorists." In a letter to Johnson, CAIR Government Affairs Director Corey Saylor wrote, "This comment seems to suggest that Arab-American and Muslim participation in the political process has sinister connotations and that having an Arabic name somehow indicates a propensity for violence." The Muslim community considered McKinney a friend, while some in the Jewish community suspected she is anti-Semitic. Johnson is now the Democratic nominee for McKinney's House seat.

This concerns me in that this group seeks to infulence political leaders. CAIR and groups like it have been proven to suppord Hamas/Hezbollah.

I agree with you on your concerns, you are absolutely correct.

Yet if McKinney's one of the best they have in their corner...*chuckle*...well, enough said.

Mr Johnson could not ask for a better endorsement. If muslims aren't flopping and twitching about what you are saying and doing and living as a businessman, politician, American -- then you aren't behaving correctly.

Agreed. They start small and work their way up. I wonder when the veiled threats come along and then the not so veiled threats.

Dig thru my files for all links to all the dubious sources of Jihad Cindy's support:

-Jihad Cindy? McKinney won't go quietly... indeed, she may not go away at all...--

-The McKinney Files....--

-Billy McKinney- show him the door next?--

Did anyone else see Special Report on Fox last night? Chris Wallace showed some clips of McNutty's security making anti-Jewish statements and telling a Fox (Jewish) producer to "put on his yamaka (sp) and get his Jewish ass out of here." I'd say that the Jewish community has a good reason to be suspicious of her.

That's wrong how?

That one statement contains:
a) The truth "..Arabic name somehow indicates a propensity for violence."
b) A lie "...This comment seems to suggest"
c) Political Correctness ie we are offended that you tell the truth.
There is probably more to it than that.

I will bet good money, without looking for any additional information, that Johnson made this statement in response to an accusation by McKinney that the fact that he has white and/or Jewish supporters on his donor list means he is beholden to sinister racist oppressors.

CAIR lies.
