Bump that!

Crist has accepted at least $35,000.00 from the Semblers! The same family that started The Straights drug rehab program that was shut down for its practices. Maybe Mel will get that shopping center after all. FYI Brent Sembler is his campaign manager.

I smell a planted article. Crist is not a conservative that I want representing me from the governor's mansion. And, Rod Davis (Dem, NOT a conservative), have you seen his commercials?? This guy is phonier than a $3 bill and his phony "news conference" commercials prove it.

So far, the only runner in the race to Tallahassee that looks like someone I want to support is Tom Gallagher.

I thought Gallager was dropping out of the race due to lack of funds. ??

The Florida Medical Association, the most anti-trial lawyer organization in the state, has endorsed Charlie Crist.

No, that was just the usual leftmedia disinformation. Tom is hanging in there to September 5.

Crist's camp stayed out and declined to comment, which I thought was the good thing to do.

You're always on top Joe. As I've said before, I'll vote whoever can keep a Bob Graham or a Lawton Chiles out of office.

That just tells me that someone's getting jilted at the wedding, and given Crist's performance at the Morgan fundraiser, there may be some disappointed doctors at the reception.

Outside of Free Republic Social Conservatives aren't that easy to find.

That's odd. Wonder why the MSM spend so much time and energy screaming about the danger of THEOCRACY in America?

Abortion has been an issue in every election in mylifetime. I think we need to focus on energy, immigration, and downsizing the bureaucracy. Having the right attitudes on abortion are not enough, imho. The Seminoles had family values, but no electricity or gasoline.

for me the answer is clearly Tom Gallagher...

By now you must know (from other posts) that Gallagher is a Gary Condit/Bill Clinton clone and his womanizing exploits are very well-known.

You're sounding like the liberal women who were willing to overlook Clinton's treatment of women so they could have their special issue, abortions.

What's your special 'cookie' from Gallagher that makes you overlook his exploits.

By the way, the Democrats aren't overlooking them and are prepared to air his dirty laundry come campaign time. Their dirt-diggers have already completed that mission their part of that mission.

He isn't lacking in funds but he did find out that the Democrats are poised to expose his Bill Clinton/Gary Condit exploits, of which there were many. He has tried to immunize himself by stating that he is against negative campaigning. With as many negative skeletons as he has in his closet, it's easy to see why he would say that.

He has since tried to become "Mister Family"...just like Bill and Hillary did before Clinton's first election. They were on "60 Minutes" admitting they had had some problems but Bill promised he'd never do it again.

Fool me once....you know the rest of the saying.

Thanks for the insight capt. There's just something about Gallagher I don't like. Maybe it's that chubby faced bodunk charisma Bill taught him. ;D!

Guess Charlie's my guy for now. I just hope he doesn't screw things up. Term limits suck at least for our present Gov.

I certainly wouldn't support someone in the primary who is not fit for office.

Be prepared for great embarrassment if Gallagher wins the primary. Right now he has the backing of the Democrat Party as they very much need him to be the Republican candidate.

With your help, you are giving them exactly what they need....a Republican scandal of Clintonian proportions.

Is there a conservative third-party candidate on the general election ballot for those who won't support Crist as the probable Republican nominee?

Yes, Tom Gallagher. He was in the debate with Crist, and I thought right away he was not as flashy or smooth. He gave more honest and conservative answers.

It is abundantly clear, Joe that Crist is not going to focus on "people" issues. We already knew that.

"So if he wins, his agency appointments won't be rewards for political support. He said he would take a similar approach as governor as he did when he became the first Republican to be elected attorney general."

Charlie Crist partnered with the AARP as Fla AG and other progressive organizations. I'm certain he will take all the progressives with him for his cabinet. Charlie doesn't make a move without special interests. He is misrepresenting who he is. Did he say he was a conservative or did he say he was a republican?

Republican doesn't mean a thing if you don't act like one.
