"Don't read the Bible with one hand while watching the news. We don't know the day or the hour, but even if this is not "The Big One" (which since I haven't seen the AntiChrist yet, I suspect it is not) things can get very ugly very fast."
You're right, and I'm not doing that. It just looks to me that everything is going in the direction that prophecy said it would. I heard someone once say--Don't keep yourself so heavenly-minded that you can't get your head out of the clouds.
Agreed. God brings on the big one - this is mans doing.

True, Christ prophecied that their will be wars and reports of wars but the end is not yet. We may not the day nor the hour but the seasons. In other words, a sequence of events also known as the tribulation leads up to the final war. What good would a prophecy be without knowing what specifics to look for?
Christ further mentions to hold our heads up high because our deliverance is drawing near. Christ calls this stage the birth pangs of distress. An interesting analogy consider a new baby is beautiful but painful to deliver. A new society will form after this war. Like a baby, this society will be beautiful. We will throw away our weapons and use our resources for peaceful purposes.
