Thank God that the law enforcement in England still operates on a non PC level when it comes to terrorist. Unfortunately they have lost the courage to state what we all know: These are muslim terrorists, not asian males.
Yes, the dirty little secret is that there has been a mini-crime wave that has hit the city this year. Lotta tourist muggings.
Sinthia McKinneys entourage?
Marion Berry said " The Crime rate in DC is really very low is you don't count all the Murders."
What a sick Dump of a City. a perfect democrat town.
AND, it's Bush's fault, too!
P.S. Did you know Kerry served in Viet Nam?
The democrat politics of victimhood and always blame others destroys all.
"I don't guess The District of Columbia has a National Guard? .."
As a matter of fact, if I recall correctly, the DC Army National Guard is comprised of at least one battalion of Military Police. They help provide parade route security during Inaugurations.
Every time they mug a white liberal, if they dont kill him, a conservative is born.
So, a modest suggestion for law enforcement reform: 'citizen's arrest'training, bounties, financial restitution/penalty from criminals + jailtime, and EXILE for 2nd violent offenses (Liberia seems an appropriate destination we could contract for, somewhat as we negotiate hundreds of military bases throughout the world).
Over at the Post, whose chairman Donald Graham is a former D.C. police officer, ombudsman Deborah Howell defended the paper's policy of not reporting the racial characteristics of alleged criminals. While the Post did publish a photo of the alleged killers in the Sennit murder, she wrote, "The curiosity of readers about race is understandable, but, practically, what help is it to know that a suspect was black or mixed-race or a whiter shade of pale if there aren't enough details to be able to identify a suspect and call the police? Or if it's not pertinent to the crime. Will knowing the color of a person's skin make you feel any safer?"
Well, duh.
You know, where I'm from you need a licence to have a pet but anyone one can have a child.
Can we say, castration?
Screw the street gangs. We'd better wake up to the havoc created by that one shadowy gang of 535, in D.C. Though relatively small in number, they can do more damage to the entire country than every street gang in town can do Georgetown or any other part of that one city.
They are the really scary ones, and we never know what they'll come up with next.
And worse, reelected. "The bitch set me up" was taken for Gospel.
Now that the Mall and other tourist havens have crimes, the D.C. police have decided something must be done.
Of course, Sharpton and Jackson are too busy attacking jooos to notice that blacks are killing each other off in record numbers all across America.
(/sarc off)
19 YO drunk college students usually don't shoot back.
In the same week as that horrible attack against the couple in Georgetown, I wonder how many other victims met their fate in more crime-ridden parts of the city, but those stories didn't make headlines.
The "news" by definition is always about what's "new". So, crime that happens in low-crime areas to the kinds of people who usually aren't targets is big news. I watched it happen all the time when I was living in Philly. Once a teen in a "safer" area was beaten to death, and the story was all over prime time news for weeks. It made national headlines, and people all over the country were talking about it for a long time.
Meanwhile, that same week, people were being shot and killed on a regular basis where I lived, and those stories weren't even making the police blotter on page 21.
My guess is Georgetown is still "relatively" safe.
-Thank you Jim-
They'd probably be less armed & outnumbered by the Crips, Blooods & MS13 gangstas.
The membership often is composed of immigrants or illegal aliens. Yet in many of these areas police are not even allowed to check if they are legally in this country.
A new election coming up anytime soon? I hear Cynthia McKinney will be looking for a job in January.
