If you are a legal partiicpant in today's tax system, the nrst is a boost in purchasing power - significantly.

I have CBO data if you'd like it.

Many people will have a tax cut! The Fair Tax effective tax rate(after the prebate)will lower tax rates for all income levels but more so for lower incomes Fair Tax FAQ #49. A family of four who makes approximately #47,500 or less will not have an effective tax rate greater than 10%. That covers a lot of people.
