They have been talking about this for at least 30 years. It isn't going to happen but I am sure in the year 2030 someone will bring up again.

They have been talking about this for at least 30 years. AFAIK, it's been ten. The movement has been slow but steady- and is increasing now.
It took 137 years before the income tax was put on us which we've had for 103 years - let's hope we can remove it sooner than 2030 (which, interestingly would be 117 years of the income tax).

You must be thinking of another tax. The Fair Tax Act was first introduced by Congressman John Linder in July of 1999.
It isn't going to happen but I am sure in the year 2030 someone will bring up again.
The same skepticism was said about womens right to vote but a strong grassroots movement resulted in the 19th amendment. That same strong grassroots movement is occurring with the Fair Tax.

With defeatist do-nothing attitudes like that, of course nothing will happen. If you do nothing, you deserve what you get from everyone else.

Then why not go ahead and sign the petition now??? Get a head start - and who knows; the several million behind the FairTax may very well swing it "this time:.
