Posted on 08/13/2006 11:46:41 AM PDT by DCBryan1
Fox News just broke with a "snippet" that a woman (who is in custody) tried to ingite a small explosive, according to Uniformed Secret Service and either place it or throw it at the White House. She was taken into custody.
You probably saved a lot of us a lot time looking up a Cynthia graphic arts picture to post here.
I wonder what her story is.
"Was it a "peaceful" liberal, or home-grown muslim convert or just a nut?"
'You can tell the difference?'
Most of us couldn't.
wasn't there also someone who shot the WH? I think it was an accountant. I may be merging two incidents, one dcuring Clinton, and one during Bush.
Your link led me to a sign-up page.
"A middle-aged man fired several shots and waved a handgun at the White House in the US capital of Washington Wednesday before a Secret Service officer shot and wounded him."
Fox News says there are more terrorists "out there' yet they will probably refuse to call this terrorism. What do you think this persons DU screen name is?
that is really trippy
Yea .. that happened also
Gunman Shot Outside of the White House
Aired February 7, 2001
Here is the story about the plane crash
Radar Detected Airplane before White House Crash
By Ruben Castaneda and Pierre Thomas
Frank Eugene Corder, 38, a student pilot with a history of alcohol and drug abuse, stole the single-engine Cessna from an airfield north of Baltimore and died in the crash, officials said. Initial interviews with associates of Corder suggest the crash was intentional, federal officials said, but they said they did not believe it was politically motivated.
I think you're right about the Accountant during the first GW term...but then, Accountancy MIGHT cause someone to go bonkers (he he he...just joking),
here's the one during Clinton's term
The following month, a man pulled a semiautomatic rifle from under his trench coat and sprayed the front of the White House with bullets. On Oct. 29, 1994, Francisco Martin Duran, a convicted felon, fired at least 29 shots as he ran down the south sidewalk of Pennsylvania Avenue. Duran was tackled by passersby and restrained by the Secret Service while trying to reload his weapon. No one was injured - and Mr. Clinton, in the White House at the time, was never in danger. The gunman was sentenced to 40 years in federal prison.
He stole the Cessna on the night of September 11 and departed from Aldino Airport in Maryland severely intoxicated, which is presumed to have led to his later miscalculation. The plane was noticed by radar technicians at National Airport several minutes before he tried to steer it into the wall of the White House. At 1:49 am, he hit the South Lawn and died on impact.
Unless they officially affiliate with Osama or Nasrallah, ya just can't call 'em terrorists. Well, I can, but you know who I mean. And even then, it's a close call as to whether they're militants or insurgents or just upset Democrats.
WOW .. I didn't remember the date
spooky or what
"Francisco M. Duran, the gunman who raked the White House with semiautomatic rifle fire last month,"
"When Frank Eugene Corder, a 38-year-old truck driver, crashed a small airplane on the White House grounds today, he ended a life that had been spiraling downward for more than a year. Mr. Corder's relatives said he was hospitalized for treatment of alcoholism last November"
Well, the one that was during W's presidency...wasn't he from the Amish region of Pennsylvania? (no joke!)
