45% of British Muslims believe Israel and the U.S. conspired to cause 9/11. 37% believe it is okay to kill Jews at any given moment.

Heck you don't even need that.
All you need are the words: "If you don't co-operate with us we are going to transfer you to Israeli intelligence".

I read the whole op-ed; it's an amazing breath of fresh air! We need more of it in this country - less mealy-mouthed pandering to the Religion of Peace (the peace of the dead) and more straight talk: muslims in the US, as long as there is islamic terrorism, every muslim is going to be the subject of heightened scrutiny. Want it to stop? Then help stop terrorism. Pure and simple.

why export? All I need to do is find out who needs to talk and make them talk. A knife, a car lighter, and maybe some rubbing alcohol are the only tools I need. I won't even break a sweat.

It is the equivalent to telling a mouse he is going into a snake cage.
The Mossad doesn't have the ACLU looking over its shoulder, and have these PC prisoner guidelines like the US.

Discrimination as a member of a minority community is something
Mr Ghaffur, himself a Muslim, experienced first-hand
at an early age.
Born in Uganda in east Africa, his family were forced to flee their
native land when
dictator Idi Amin expelled most of the country's minority Asian
population in 1972.
The good officer leaves out "the rest of the story".
(For the younguns, Amin was A MUSLIM; Khadaffi sent Libyan troops to
help him. And when he went into exile, he went to live with his co-congregants
in...Saudi Arabia.)
At that young age, he was discriminated against because he wasn't
the right kind of Muslim.
He found himself in a situation similar to that of the African Muslims
in the Darfur area of Sudan.
He was a Second-Class Muslim dissed by First-Class Muslims.
You'd think he'd learn and ditch that Religion of Peace.
But then, maybe he's found a good career-enhancer with his "I've
been discriminated against" mantra.

Thanks for the backstory on Ghaffur.
And I agree. Muslims are horrible racists. What other religion condones slavery in the 21st century?

I agree.
Our politicians - of whatever "falvor" do not.
I guess the smell of Saudi campaign money and oil profits impacts their reasoning

Not unsurprising.
They go back to history for past history for their justification.
We can too. Once upon a time all of North Africa and most of western Asia was Christian.

I have a Muslim friend in England who was kicked out of Uganda by Idi Amin.
He owned a chain of grocery stores in Kampala but arrived in Britain with his family and only the possessions they could carry with them.
He is a great guy and I try to think of him to give me a sense of balance.
It is so easy to think badly of all Muslims. It is in a way a defense mechanism. We see ourselves threatened by them - with reason.

Certainly there are Muslims who conduct themselves as good citizens/subjects.
Probably fifty years from now we'll marvel at the revelations of how
some of them risked their necks to fight back against the monsters.
Maybe I was a bit tough on the good policeman.
But I just wanted folks to note that while he did experience some
discrimination in the UK (Christian/Post-Christian nation)...
his folks actually had to flee their country run by a Muslim.
While the UK hasn't treated him perfectly...apparently it's enough
of an improvement that he's settled in for good.
He should be saying that he won't let his current home nation turn
into a hell-hole like the one he came from.
And if some folks feelings get hurt in accomplishing the mission...tough.
They need to get a bit of that "stiff upper lip".
