East Enders [Muslims & Britain - Excellent]
Opinion Journal ^ | August 15, 2006 | FARRUKH DHONDY

-snip-

On July 7, the first anniversary of the terror attack on the Underground, a terrorist organization placed on the Web a recording of the last testament of one of the suicide bombers. He claimed that his intention to murder was a reaction to Britain's involvement in the Iraq war and retaliation for British foreign policy in Afghanistan and Palestine. A survey of the Muslim community has uncovered that a third feel that mass murder of British civilians is justified because of Britain's participation in Iraq. This alienation is the most important political phenomenon in British politics today, yet no politician has stooped to try to understand it, preferring to mouth homilies about the "majority of Muslims being peace-loving." Opponents of the war crow about Tony Blair's foreign policy generating jihadis. Liberal opinion falls back on mantras about racism breeding alienation.

They ignore the fact that 9/11 preceded Iraq, and that other unemployed communities haven't resorted to mass murder. No, something else is happening. It is significant that 22 universities have been named as epicenters of jihadist recruitment. The leader of the latest terror attempt is alleged to be a biochemistry student. These educated young men have ventured the farthest from the enclosures of their communities: The well-fed bite the hand that feeds.

Mark Twain said something about the difference between men and dogs.

If you find a man in the gutter and take him into your home, feed him, and give him a warm place to sleep, and if you do the same thing for a dog:

The fundamental difference between the two is that the dog will never bite you.

My new position on this is to stop arguing with the libs about who "started" this war. I just nod and smile and say "Whoever started it, the winner will be the one who makes the other guy stop fighting. Which side do YOU want to be the one to cry 'Uncle'--the eeeeevil Bush, or the guys who want to kill all gays, Jews, and non-Muslims?"

The essay reflects the reality of British urban society well enough.Iit is right in noting that extremism isn't bred simply by poverty or foreign policy.

But the remedy is hopelessly pallid. The Sufi's are known to be peaceable but they are a minority and will always be so - isolated and distrusted by Sunni and Shia alike.

Islam cannot sort this out because the problem is Islam.

Harder tougher policies will have to be considered. The first thing must be our repeal of the Human Rights Act 98. An immediate moratorium on all Muslim immigration. If anyone want to be with their family than they must emigrate. Deportations must begin in earnest of anyone sufficiently suspected of terroristt activity including raising money or publishing anti-western propaganda. All mosques to preach in English with Police present. Modest grants made available to help Muslims go home.

All other ethnic groups should be excluded form these proposals. It is not about race - it is about fascism.

Well, this particular problem. Yardie gunbattles on the streets of London haven't contributed much to a civil society, either.

"The little ones can be seen going in their white caps and pajamas to supplementary madrassas to be inducted into the religion."

It is past time to be listening in at those madrassas, and when found to be teaching violent jihad, closing them down and jailing the teachers.

The idea that 'Iraq is the REASON' is just another political hook for these people to attempt a justification of their murderous hatred; which is, by any measure, immune to genuine REASON.

Frustration and aimlessness are the seeds of alienation. British identity gives them no goals. They turn, instead, to the disciplines that were instilled in them from birth. Al Qaeda's aim to dominate the world with a universal Shariah kingdom makes them part of an elite. Their stance is fundamentally ideological, and being the ideology of religion, with 72 virgins on offer in paradise, it is fundamentally illogical. Their basic Western education makes them aware that they may be challenged in their fantasies of faith by more enlightened arguments of other Islamic persuasions. Instead, their spokesmen and suicide notes refer to British policies and lend a veneer of logic, of cause and effect, to their murder. Yet no spending plans in poor areas, multicultural reform of education or antiterrorist detention laws, or, for that matter, withdrawal of Britain's armies from Iraq, will deal conclusively with this ideology of murder.
Why should any national identity provide "goals"?

I've been trying to wake people up to this menace, for years:

Islam, a Religion of Peace®? ( links, blogs, quips, quotes, aggravating pictures ) is located here- click the Picture, and scroll backwards:

...and the barbarians are already inside our gates.

Never, ever, forget:

Where It's 9-11 all the Time: Click the Picture:

"Where it's nine-eleven all the time
and no Sun sets, and no clocks chime
where no voice speaks and no bird trills
the Moon hangs frozen o'er the hills
The winds are still, they seem to say,
Reflect, remember, stop to pray..."

...and at our neighbour's gates, as well:

Terror Strike Toronto ( Aborted! )-- Click the picture:

And then, there is this little problem:

For "Thunder on the Border," click the picture:

"It is only by ideologically challenging the fundamentalism that has taken virulent hold of the enclosed communities and their offshoots that Islam can learn to live in the West. Muslim has to tame Muslim."

You know, there is always hope. On the other hand, the Editorial Board of the Wall Street Journal richly deserves a mindless optimism award.

Muslims are not an ethnic group.

Whatever legal precedent you establish to violate the civil rights of American Muslims can be used on you, too.

Muslims are not an ethnic group.

True, they are a violent religious and political idealogy committed to overthrowing the Constitution and violating every one of your unailienable rights.

Whatever legal precedent you establish to violate the civil rights of American Muslims can be used on you, too.

The Declaration says "mutually pledge." The Constitution says, "We the people." Muslims are opposed to both. They are imiscible in this society because they are required to dissolve our founding social contract. Thus, allowing people who actively prepare for violent overthrow of Constitutional government while they hide behind the First Amendment is more certain to destroy what remains of it than to initiate the process by which they would be expunged.

There are specific admonishments in the Quran absolving its adherents of any oath to an infidel, including an oath of citizenship. Because we have allowed Islam to fester here, we are down to ugly choices. Which is why we do have to investigate and prosecute for sedition.

A survey of the Muslim community has uncovered that a third feel that mass murder of British civilians is justified because of Britain's participation in Iraq.

These Muslims left their poor stupid totalitarian ME countries to have a better life - then they act like this?

Muslims want to turn England into something like the creepy little outhouse countries they came from? It's time for them to go home.

The "third" that feels mass murder is OK should be deported. Brits can change the laws, cancel their citizenship and send them home. Let them live with the consequences of their horrible, subhuman ideas. Let them go back to the ME...

It's cheaper to deport the traitors than to jail them...

This is an outrage.
