A simple thing happened: We were drugged by political correctness. The political correctness that has come to dominate Israeli discourse and Israeli awareness in the past generation was totally divorced from the Israeli situation. It did not have the tools to deal with the reality of an existential conflict. It did not have the tools to deal with a reality of an inter-religious and inter-cultural conflict. That is why it focused entirely on the Palestinian issue. It made the baseless assumption that the occupation is the source of evil. It assumed that it is the occupation that is preventing peace and causing unrest and perpetuating the instability.............

I wouldn't like to be a Christian living in Europe (especially Spain) a couple of decades from now.
At this point, we are certainly losing the battle of civilizations to the Islamist foe -- mostly thanks to the elitist fifth column of professors, journalists and left-lib politicos who dominate the prevailing politically-correct zeitgeist of Western Europe and North America.

If the islamists were to get all of Israel's land, they would then turn out after the "occupied muslim lands" covering most of europe, as well as go after the rest of the west.
Imposition of worldwide Sharia law is their aim. They are going to fight until they either get that accomplished or they are dead.

I've been thinking that for us (and Israel) war now is cheaper than war later. As time goes on our enemies get stronger and the cost in lives and materiel to beat them will keep increasing.
I think it's like bear baiting. The Romans used to have a game where they would put two or more dogs up against a bear. One would distract it while the others would dart in and take bites. Eventually the bear would become so exhausted, dispirited, and confused that they would be able to take it out. It didn't always work, and sometimes the dogs would get mauled, but sometimes it did.

The people who founded Israel had little to lose. They understood the stakes in life and had no problem embracing the risks they had to take. That Isrealis cannot accept it now, in their current secular socialist state of mind, is obvious. Sadly, the cause of that shift isn't so obvious to them. Even more obscure is what it will take to fix it: turning back to G-d.

Correct, Islam is a violent and destructive idealogy, cohesed by substituting obsession for faith, praying for conquest five times a day. They must be defeated.
