Hell it always smells that way in Bayonne. Nothing new.
Reminds me of an old George Carlin stand-up special.

No kidding. I used to work haz waste emergency response. Someone (with perhaps vengeance in mind) went to a city govt billing office (can't remember water or something)and unleashed one of those hydrogen sulfide stink bombs. At least ten women claimed respiratory problems and went to the hospital followed by timeoff (worker's comp etc). I measured the levels at 10 ppm. Could not have hurt a canary.

The panicky would be dead in the office I work in. We're downwind from a treatment plant and when the wind shifts, it's the salt evaporators (which double as krill ponds)!
Sounds a lot like the predictable aftermath of a night of Indian cuisine, laced heavily with curry. Gosh, how do those folks in Bombay survive from one day to the next? :)
That's great. As a kid we would drive through Bayonne to get to Staten Island and you could barely stand the smell. Now they want to make a big deal out of it. I turn 60 this month.
