Well, now you just have to take that [discussion] up with the Mrs. But if you want to conduct some research on my claim, we do have a second master bedroom for guests in our new house!
To: Scott from the Left Coast
We will have trips through there to come, since ecurbh's folks are in Northern AZ - we prefer to fly into Vegas over Phoenix. We do hope we can see you the next time we do that!

I grew up in the midwest and was told that the Chicago stock yards were so efficient that when slaughtering pigs they used everything except the squeel They did use the squeal - the union bosses saved all the squeals for Howard Dean's election run.

Funny you mention the spirit of blame. It actually started with Adam. Eve quickly picked up on that trait and their kids eventually picked it up as well. Its traceable all through Scriptures and gets pretty comical at times.
I'm not trying to blame anybody for it (or excuse your husband), just giving background :)

So, you don't think there is much difference between "it might be" and "it is"? I'll keep that in mind when I read your posts in the future.

I'm curious too, but I wonder if they would release that information.

So what was in the containers that set the dogs off?I dunno, but the seals were broken--that tripped the first 'flag'.
Maybe it was removed, and the residues were enought to set the dogs off.

"A port worker who was evacuated called local radio and he said the shipping containers had their custom seals broken and the bomb sniffing dogs were going crazy. He said in all the years working at the port terminal he never seen them act like that. The discovery of the broken seals was at the Xray boom where they run the containers through."
This could be a major terrorist attack thwarted and the threat minimized in the media like the Oklahoma suicide bomber.

Or maybe the stuff arrived ,was removed and is being planted in greater Seattle
To: ballplayer
So what happened? Has anyone heard anymore about this incident?

The Police and Bomb squad removed everything from the containers. The contents were tons of boxes about the size of a suitcase. They had them lined up on the lot with bomb sniffing dogs sniffing each and every one. In todays Seattle Times it says nothing was found and that the dog handlers explained the animals may have "hit" on the containers if they had been used to ship fireworks or been touched by dockworkers with explosive residue in their hands. The cargo containers were put on board from another vessel somewhere in Asia. The fireworks explanation would make sense with the 4th of July not that long ago and tons and tons of fireworks shipped from China.
The local Democrat Senators or blaming Bush as suspected for "doing nothing to protect our ports", however as far as I'm concerned this event shows that the system worked well.

Thanks for the update. I agree.

"nothing was found"
Tin Foil speculation: What if a nuke or WMD had been found in the container? Wouldn't the authorities want to keep it quiet to prevent panic?
