Iran President Ahmadinejad: Israel and its supporters must compensate for Lebanon's damage
Islamic Republic News Agency - Iran ^ | August 16, 2006

Posted on 08/16/2006 9:57:58 PM PDT by HAL9000

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said here Israel and its supporters must compensate for all the damage they have inflicted on the people of Lebanon.

On the second day of his visit to the Ardebil province, Ahmadinejad told residents of Kousar city on Wednesday afternoon, "the Zionist regime and the US and the UK are the ones who damaged Lebanon, so they must compensate for the whole damage."

He added the United Nations and its secretary general are duty bound to take the compensation from those countries and pay it to Lebanon.

Referring to the criminal actions of the Zionist regime in killing Lebanese innocent women and children and the US support for these crimes, Ahmadinejad said the UN Security Council and the UN secretary general, himself, must take these war criminals to the international court for punishment.

Unlimited support of the US and the UK for the usurper Zionist regime made it clear for the whole world who are the main agents of creating insecurity and crisis in the world, Iran's president concluded.

I suppose Israel and supporters should also be responsible to pay for all the damaged rockets as well as all the damaged rocket launchers Israel took out all over Lebanon, since they could not be used for their natural purpose of killing innocents in Israel.

It's his Hezbollah, and he was financing them and Lebanon to begin with, so let him throw the billions of rebuilding and bribing himself.
Better the blood money goes there for building construction and payment to bribe in social programs rather than be used to finance other terror.

Our money would be better spent paying a USA-Israeli commando team to pay President Whackjob a personal, life-changing visit . . . if you get my drift.

Is there anyone who will stand up to this man and tell him he's a liar? Let Iran pay for the cleanup...they provided the rockets to Hezbullah and were the ones who instigated and provoked this war. I think it's time to tell the United Nations and this jerk, Ahmadinejad, that their days of dictating to the United States and all freedom loving countries are over!

"Referring to the criminal actions of the Zionist regime in killing Lebanese innocent women and children"

And I suppose that the criminal actions of Iran and Syria in killing Israel's innocent women and children are not significant? I take it that Iran & Syria will pay to rebuild/repair the damage done by the rockets supplied by these two terror states.....

Apparently not since this mother of all fruitcakes is still wasting oxygen.

This has turned into one big mess. I've lost faith in the Israeli PM. We know the truth because we've been following it but from Brazil to Venezuela, Syria and beyond this is not only seen as a defeat by Israel but also a 'concession' that Israel was the 'agressor' in the war. Furthermore they're seeing Iran and Syria as the two nations that made the peace. Chavez is also trying to take credit for himslelf and the Iranian dictator. It's no wonder Iran President Ahmadinejad feels it's his duty to demand that Israel and its supporters compensate for Lebanon's damage. I fear many nations in the world may feel the same... you know the CNN International watchers of the world.

Many American democrats seem to be expressing that the US and Israel are responsible in USENET

I dont know, folks. Looking ahead... we may have to sacrifice domestic issues for a more agressive President on foreign policy in 2008 who wont accept this BS if one comes along that has that strength. Besides, what good is a domestic issue we may hold dear if our nation is nuked.

It's NOT possible to have both the Bush Doctrine and a deal / ceasefire with the Hezbos. I believe it's dead.

"the Zionist regime and the US and the UK are the ones who damaged Lebanon, so they must compensate for the whole damage."

This has to be a joke, tell me it's a joke, I'mawhackjob claims that since Israel attacked Lebanon, because it was attacked by Hezbollah, that we need to pay for it?

Now that is funny, especially since Hezbollah most likely did it at his orders.

Perhaps Iran ought to pick up the bill, it gained him the time he needed, now, what is actually going to happen on August 22nd?
