Any ideas of places for me to visit while I am up there this weekend? I plan on seeing some of the main consititutional and revolutionary places while I am there, and finding Rocky's statue. Any suggestions on other places would be great.

Cherry Hill isn't bad, just steer clear of Camden.

Go to the national park service site and get an advanced reserved ticket if you want to go inside Independence Hall. I was there last weekend and there were no tickets left for the walk-up visitors. No ticket required for the Liberty Bell.

You will have to go through metal detectors for both venues and supposedly they do not allow even a pocket knofe, so disarm completely before entering.

Also do a google search on the Mutter Museum at the College of Physicians. Guarantee you will see some unique stuff there!

Keep outta North Phila as well...

Dully noted...I have always wanted an original cheese-steak even if I heard it was terrible.

My brother went to Rutgers Law. Camden is like any other city where it has it's good parts and bad parts. Camden has a reputation for being a tough place but I'm sure it's just the reputation of the bad places.

Rutgers Camden is fine for locals/commuters...went ther myself. I definitely would not recommend it for dorm-living...Go to Rowan Univ...MUCH BETTER AREA!!! It's down in my neck of the woods too!

I will actually only spend about a semester at Camden then I will spend my entire Seniror year, I think a full 12 months at Cooper Hospital.

Agreed, my sister did RutLaw too!

Caution: 2 blocks off campus in the wrong direction and there could be trouble. The campus is fine though. Perhaps THE nicest area in Camden.

In its favor, Camden does seem to be undergoing a bit of a renaissance. But they've been saying that for 25 years now... :-)

In for a little classy dinning? Try the Moshulu Restaurant. It is a sailing ship converted into a restaurant.
Don't forget your wallet though. $$
