Those were solved pretty quick too, considering the idiots who committed them fired up several churches in one night.

Are you crazy?

Imagine if the fire had spread, people had died... this is happening in America! Not in Bakpakmenistan.

"Reminded me of the Arabs cheering in the streets after 9/11. I'm not saying the two incidents are morally equivelant, but the attitude behind them is eerily similar."

Much of it done with a biting humor. Ever hear of a safety valve?
I have feelings about muslims I am not proud of, even though I feel justified. I don't like feeling this way, and it compounds my anger at them.
Now consider that our government isn't doing all that some of us think they should, (secure the borders).
Finally, we know of 9/11, we know of all the evil islam is responsible for. We've heard them declare us as their enemy.
So, we come here, and we joke, (dark humor). Some of the jokes are more serious than others. People that don't vent, explode.

"sounding like a liberal, banning things. If you don't like it feel free to leave."

The moderators have deleted many posts over the years, probably more than I would have, but I don't think this site or conservatism are well-served when I see numerous comments applauding arson and/or assuming, with no proof, that the fire was set by the owners of the center. This thread approximates DU at its worst.

"That attitude is reducing ourselves to the same level as radical Muslims."

I'll stand by that comment. One thing that radical Muslims do is burn down Christian churches, often to the the applause of a gang of cheering punks, which this thread resembles.

"This thread approximates DU at its worst."

You've made your point. Most disagree, including the Admin Moderators. So now, ask yourself: Are they wrong, or am I?

If you believe most of the posters are wrong, and you're right, then you have to decide if maybe this is the wrong place for you? Or maybe just the wrong thread?

Multiple posts of crying and hand wringing serve no purpose, other than to let you bask in the glow of your assumed moral superiority.

I don't happen to share your opinion of what should or shouldn't be said in a free society forum.

They are the ones who bow next to, recite passages of mass murder with, hide, support, give alibis to the ones who wish to follow the commandments of satan aka muuuhamhead (Pigs be inseminating her)! Just because she doesn't fly the plane, or detonate the bomb, or poison the water, doesn't mean she doesn't recite the same passages of murder in the terrorist training manual just like allah the rest of the islame-O facists! She might be a really devoute person! Frankly I dont cair! She is not better than me or any other loyal American! She is a terrorist sympathizer, and enabler! Tell me what she belives when she recites the koranus!!!!! The shame is yours!!! Go worship satan with your pious friend!!

Based upon this post and the vitriolic hatred in it, I have to respecfully disagree with you. She IS better than you. A better American and a better person. She is not filled with a generalized hatred for individual people she has never met.

I am an Evangelical Christian, and while I don't agree with her religion, I love and respect her as a person, and she loves and respects me as a person. While I agree that Islam in general is a worldwide problem, I deplore that people cannot distinguish an individual from a religion.

Your friend is no longer an individual. She is a slave to satanallah! Islam means submission, not peace! You need to be wise like a serpent as well as meek like a lamb!

You may want to be led to slaughter, dont ask me to follow!

What branch of Christianity are you? The First Church of Judgementalism? You have no trouble judging me as being subpar. You seem to judge free will (BTW free will is a God given gift!) inferior to, abject slavery to the murder death cult of satan!

it creeps me out being in a store with the heavily veiled women in black.

I like to shop at Fairlane Mall in Dearborn. I like to stand next to a gal in full hijab, looking over the clearance rack, while I am giving her the ZIONIST JEW EYE. BWAHAHAHAHAHAH!

Please don't put words in my mouth. I am all for fighting Islam, but I also understand that not everyone who follows it is an evil person, as I was trying to demonstrate by describing my friend. And yes, I made a judgement about your character. However, my judgement was based on your own words, while your judgement of my friend was based entirely on her religion. This, along with your angry responses, does little to convince me that I am incorrect in my original judgement.

While I agree that Islam in general is a worldwide problem, I deplore that people cannot distinguish an individual from a religion.

Ask her directly which has precedence -- her religion or her country. If her imam tells her to kill other Americans (they will, it is just a matter of time), will she do it?

If someone is a Satan Worshiper, they might be an otherwise nice person. But they are still a Satan Worshiper.

The religion of the accursed pedophile (may he burn in hell between 2 pigs forever) is worse than Satan Worship.

The only good muslim is a Christian. So-called "moderate muslims" are either 5th columnists or just don't understand their own religion.

But ask anyway.

I can say with certainty that she would not do it.

Please don't think that I am defending Islam. I agree with what you are saying. My original post on this thread was in response to people celebrating the burning of a mosque, which I thought was innapropriate, and somehow I ended up being an apologist for Islam :-)

As if I'm the only one on here who has made multiple posts, trying to elucidate and clarify my position, just as others have been doing. As for the glow of my assumed moral superiority, perhaps that glow is just the reflection of the glow emanating from the vigilantes on this thread.

"Ask her directly which has precedence -- her religion or her country."

A lot of Christians would say that their religion - their allegiance to what they believe to be the laws of God - takes precedence over their country. One hopes not to have to make that choice. During the Nazi era, the heroes were not those who identified Christianity with Nazism, but those who courageously said that Nazism was not compatible with Christianity. (And, no, I am not comparing the USA to Nazi Germany.) I am saying that in some circumstances, any real Christian might have to put God over country.

If the local Christian leaders said to start killing innocent citizens, I would like to think most Christians would leave at least the church.

Ask her what she will do when (not if) the imam says to kill you, your family and your friends.

Free it may be, but the moderators often zap individual posts and even entire threads. So your argument is as much with them as it is with me, regardless of our differing views on this particular issue. The privileges of ownership allow them to determine what is and what isn't appropriate. Very few Freepers would agree with them on every call they make.

I do know, however, that people hostile to conservatism monitor this site, and they enjoy publicizing comments which tend to discredit conservatism. For them, this thread will be a gold mine.
