They won't need to push Israel out. Israel will give up and leave on its own, just like it surrendered and left Lebanon. Just like it surrendered Gaza.
Actually, I doubt Hezbollah even cares about those positions on the Golan. If the artillery and troops in those fixed positions aren't doing anything, then Hez doesn't need to worry about them. A weapon is useless if it's never fired.
It's the same sort of calculation with America's nuclear weapons. You could ask the same question: "How could the Arabs ever beat us, we have nukes and they can't beat that!"
Well effectively, we don't have a single nuke in our arsenal. That is because we would never use them, and our enemies know it. Our enemies believe that we have completely lost the will to fight, so they are not too worries about anything we might threaten to do, because they know we won't follow up. Same applies to Israel.
I keep seeing posts like "Hezbollah is lucky because the IDF COULD have wiped them all out if they'd wanted to!" Well, I guess Israel didn't want to. Instead they surrendered and the sharks smell blood in the water.
Now the enemies of Israel know that they can fire 200 rockets a day into Israel and nothing will happen except a few blown up buildings. Yeah, a few Lebanese died, but muslim women all have 8 kids so who cares? Not Hezbollah, that's for sure.
Israel's enemies know it has lost the will to fight, and when it's got a group of committed, strong-willed people with knives who believe utterly in their cause, vs. a group of timid, weak, scared people who don't really want to fight - but have fighter planes and nukes - the smart money is on the knifemen every time.
Unfortunately.
I expect Hezbollah to join forces with Syria, first, as Israel is their common enemy, and second, as a thank-you for all the indispensible logistical support in the past years.
It does not really make any difference for Hezbollah if the Southern sector is controlled by the UN, because Hezbollah does not recognize the mandate/authority of the UN whatsoever. And the UN, being the UN, will probably sit back and let things happen as they happen.
Assuming they can cry from under the rubble of their bunkers.
Bashir is merely the Iranian mullahs' pencil necked rent boy..
If Israel loses the Golan it is finished.
He who controls the high ground wins the wars. And the Golan looks down on most all Israel.
But hey, many Jews there seem indifferent to destruction, just ask Olmert.
"Did anyone build the neutron bomb that was proposed in the 80's?"
Carter pulled the funding, if I recall.
It would seem to be the ultimate weapon, kill people, leave buildings. It would save lots of money in rebuild costs, and put the lie to Allah being the "one god". Leaflet Falluja, then destroy all that will not leave through checkpoints......Kinda like using Raid on cockroaches.
"It does not really make any difference for Hezbollah if the Southern sector is controlled by the UN, because Hezbollah does not recognize the mandate/authority of the UN whatsoever."
Neither should we
It is time Israel told Syria and Iran to evacuate their capitals within 48 hours.....
Cause next year, Hezzie rockets may well have Iranian WMDs on them.
