I'm nore concerned about the gangbanger who's breaking down my door at 2:00 rather than some guy living in a Pakastani cave.
If the Italians hadn't stopped that shipment of AK's into this country, how would you defend your life if rudy the RINO steals your gun beforehand?
If you can't defend your life in the matter your choose, you have nothing. Your loved ones have nothing. Your friends have nothing.

There is no reason to have rudy the RINO shoved down our throats. I'm not voting for anyone who can't read a simple sentence from the Bill of Rights.

Actually Rudy is polling the highest in your state of Florida, South Carolina, and Georgia. You can't get more Southern than that. Rudy will win NY and the NorthEast. He will win California and Texas.

Like I said in a previous post. FDR had NO military experience - and he lead us thru one of the biggest wars and also won a third term. Military experience is not necessary to run a country.

If the choice did come down to Guiliani or an unstable McCain, I would probably have to go with McCain.

Then you would have to change your name to Mostly Right

I'll bet he's polling highest around Atlanta, and the three bottom counties in Florida -- Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe. All three were BLUE in the last election. Heavily liberal. South Carolina is something of an abberation in the south. Fairly liberal to moderate. Tell me how he's doing in Texas? My guess is that the RINOs will do well in the bigger urban areas but the guts will come from the socially conservative evangelicals and gun owners and military retirees. Not to mention the active military bases and posts....which tend to break two for one in favor of the Republicans. How about all those absentee ballots in the military overseas? Clinton tried very hard to suppress those votes in 2000....The majority of military recruits come from southern or western states. Why? Early socialization to firearms.

Extreme South Florida won't poll like a typically southern state. It'll poll like New York. Same with the area surrounding Atlanta. If they're doing well now, it's only because the conservative issues which drive the south have not yet been awakened to the threat. In short, it's too early to tell.

I don't pretend potential people are the same as REAL people. How beastly of me.

I like a clear declaration. That is one. Thanks

That lines up straight as an arrow with the Dem position on the issue.

Uh, how big a tent are you trying to pitch? Careful...the whole thing might fall on your head.

There are single issue voters who truly believe that if Rudy is elected they will be forced to give up their guns.

Jeez .....all 20 of them will prolly convince Rudy not to run.

Are you really suggesting that Giuliani is the only potential Republican presidential candidate in America who can fight the War on Terror?

There are any of a number of potential conservative presidential candiates who would fight the War on Terror just as effectively as Giuliani. I'll suport the one that also has it right on social issues.

No gay agenda. No gun confiscation. No abortion-on-demand. Period.

The idea is that Giuliani is the only GOP candidate that can take down Her Thighness. If President Giuliani appoints judges in the mold of Roberts and Alito, I don't think his detractors have much of a complaint.

Winning takes more than issues-- one needs to have the personality, and one needs to be a good campaigner. If we lose, all of the stuff the single-issue voters fear, will happen, especially since the possibility of Hillary having a Democrat Congress during her eight-year term will be quite real.

Hm. Are they like the single issue voters who don't give a flying flip about any issue but the War on Terror and would embrace gay marriage, gunfiscation, and social experimentation run amok to give Giuiliani the bully pulpit.

Yes. By all means. Let's talk about single issue voters.

Given our survival as a civilization is required for a discussion of any issue period, let's do.

I don't believe it for a minute.

In any event, I doubt that there's anyone on Giuliani's short list for SCOTUS who isn't on Hillary's list too.

Yea everyone talks the talk but Rudy walks the walk. He's got guts and not everyone does (except for Bush). Everyone walks in line like Robots. Says what we want to hear and then does nothing. Rudy has already done more as Mayor than any Senator or Congressman has done. Anyone who can kick out a Palestinian Leader out of NYC and shove a check back in the face of an Arab Prince can fight a WOT with no fear of being PC and worrying about what other countries think of us. Rudy never worried about what Democrats or the media thought about him. He did what he had to do regardless of being called a Nazi, a Facist or being told he was too conservative for New York. I prefer doers rather than people who yap the same old lines.

Who is going to get the job done? Tancredo? Pence?

Allen likes to call dark people monkeys, which leaves Romney, who gets the same stupid RINO complaints.

What about in 2008?

*Snare-shot*

Anyway, if it came down to Rudy vs. Hillary, I would easily vote for Rudy. That said, 27 months before the election, it has become very unseemly to see pro-Guiliani threads here at FR.

We should be setting our sites higher looking for a candidate who supports A2 and who supports sending abortion laws back to the state.

Everything's relative. :=}

Soon in this case refers to aeons.

I'll be voting for a conservative who will contiue the offensive on Islamofascism. Rudy might do B but he doesn't satisfy A where it really counts to me.

Even the most militarily powerful societies will collapse once they lose their way morally and civilizationally.

Amen, brother. History is loaded with examples ... For that matter, the Old Testament is loaded with examples. Whenever Israel lost her way, Israelite society was crushed (The Lord punished them ...). When Israel was good, Israel was strong. Rome, of course, was the prime example ... but more recently so was Tsarist Russia and Weimar Germany. That which replaced them was ... unspeakable. America has not (yet) lost her way ... but she is losing it. The islamists cannot destroy us if we remain good. If we do not, we will have destroyed ourselves ... the islamists will simply replace us.
