"any country debasing another's currency should be taken as a declaration of war and thus should be bombed mercilessly, not given $230 million more like President Bush is going to do."

I agree!!!

North Korea got busted red-handed, here are several stories:.

U.S. Shows Counterfeit U.S. Notes Made by North Korea

Counterfeit U.S. Money Holding Up N. Korea Talks

No Ordinary Counterfeit (Shipment intercepted in sting - long story)

Excerpt: In theory, only governments can buy intaglio printing presses used for making money, and only a handful of companies sell them. Those facts alone pointed toward government involvement, but for some time there was no consensus as to which nation was behind the counterfeiting. Many of the supernotes surfaced in the Middle East, notably in the Bekaa Valley of Lebanon and in Tehran. In 1992, Bill McCollum, a Florida congressman and chairman of the House Task Force on Terrorism and Unconventional Warfare, issued a report accusing Iran of printing the supernotes. The report estimated that the value of supernotes in circulation might eventually approach “billions.”

The Secret Service, however, distanced itself from this accusation. In a letter written in 1995 in response to a Government Accounting Office report on counterfeiting overseas, the Secret Service called the task force’s allegations “unsubstantiated” and characterized its conclusions as being based on “rumor and innuendo.” In reality, evidence was pointing elsewhere.

In the spring of 2003, the State Department established the Illicit Activities Initiative, an interagency effort designed to investigate and counter North Korea’s criminal activities, and appointed Asher coordinator. The department began to systematically collect a variety of forensic and other evidence gathered by its own investigators, the Secret Service and elements of the intelligence community linking North Korea to the supernotes.

Oh - I dunno - the Federal Reserve has been printing off so many new $, that they are rapidly loosing any value anyway. Heck - I wouldn't be surprised of our current administration sent over fresh crips hundreds for their "relief" effort.

What makes me sick, and I haven't seen it posted today, but haven't been on but ten minutes, is that the U.S. is going to give financial aid to Lebanon, which is largely governed by Hezzbolah, to reconstruct the damage from the Lebanon-Israeli war!!!! If the U.S. taxpayer, too, pays in counterfeit bills, okay, (that was a joke?) but the U.S. is AGAINST terrorism, and Lebanon is friendly to terrorism!!!! Only heard a snip of it, apparently from the lips of our president this morning. And once again, Bush lips sinks ships! Mr. President, we cannot afford this!

You could only bomb them with a dollar value of bombs equal to the value of the money they fake since, well, we all know that responses have to be "proportional".

I'm glad someone else remembered that picture as it sure wasn't covered in the MSM. I remember the stacks of uncut $100.s lying on the ground. Bet GHG scooped them up and put a dug up bod in their place(s).
