Calls for prevention highlighted the opening day of the 16th International AIDS Conference in Toronto last week. Alas, it's too late. On the same day the Washington Post, carried a photo on its front page depicting a man wearing a T-shirt reading: "We all have AIDS." Toss out those condoms; forget abstinence, and don't bother getting tested. Or what part of "all" don't you understand?
Seriously, this bit of propaganda is but one illustration of

There are many nonBerliners, too.
( No more Olmert! No more Kadima! No more Oslo!)
I'm absolutely, 100% not at risk of contracting HIV.
Now, I'm not entirely sure if that is something I should be proud of... /sarc
I hate this brainwashing ad. It is similar to the one from the past that stated that everyone needs to get tested for AIDS. Why would someone that is not an IV drug user nor promiscuous need to get tested?
THe author has been a treasure in Science reporting for over a decade. I think he was the first and best on the subject of the risks to ordinary hetrosexuals, with his oft-banned book The Myth of Heterosexual AIDS. It said sixteen years ago what we all know to be true:
1. We're not all gonna die.
2. People with ordinary habits are not at risk.
3. Those with unusual habits can avoid it with ordinary protection measures.
4. Is it mostly being demagogued by the pro-gay left and the anti-sex right.

#5) Don't get 'romantic' with monkeys. :)
"I think everyone in the world should have the test. The thing is, those that test positive should then have their groin dyed with a permanent purple stain, along with each armpit. That way their partners and health care workers would know immediately if they are infected or not."
That might actually prove tantalizing to a certain group of individuals...

Those are some truly sick people......
It's why it remains very hard to take gay rights seriously, when they argue they are just as "normal" as everyone else. I don't see a substantial chunk of the straight "community" engaged in deadly behavior such as this. Sorry, folks, but this is ABnormal.
No, what we are all in danger of is MRSA(Methicillin resistant staph aureus) WASH YOUR HANDS, DON'T TOUCH YOUR FACE UNLESS YOU WASH YOUR HANDS, CARRY WATERLESS HAND CLEANER. I used to think this was paranoid, but as a nurse seeing the epidemic of this organism, I don't anymore.
Many times prolonging their lives only means that more people are infected by them, I think the best thing to do is allow them to take the drugs, but only if they take a couple thousand milligrams of saltpeter with it.
