"There is a big difference between being a Republican and being a party-first GOP cheerleader."

Which is Keyes? Which is Simcox? For that matter, which are you?

I'm not registered to any party, though I have never voted Democrat beyond the county level. As Lurker pointed out yesterday, several of the folks spinning this conspiracy theory are the same people who thought Harriet Miers was a good SCOTUS nominee. That's what I'm referring to when I talk about GOP cheerleaders.

I am pro life and pro 2nd Amendment.

If you're supporting (R)udy at this point, you're neither of the two. There are plenty of other good conservatives you can get behind.

With republicans like cannon, we don't need democrats.

Would you need rats, if Cannon wasn't in office?

It's too bad honest conservatives have to put up with those that use the ideology to line their pockets at the expense of actually changing things for the better.

BUMP. Congrats on shutting him up for a day...maybe his employers finally decided they were wasting their money and shut off his internet service.

Simcox appears at the moment to be a crook but if I didnt know that some of you on this thread also dislike the Minutemen in general Id find your outrage a little more convincing.

I hear what you're saying, but you're mistaken in my case. I don't think Chris Simcox is "a crook" at all. He's one of the few people who had the gumption to get off his hind-end and do something substantial to help stop the invasion of our country. Only a handful of Americans have done as much as he has to apply pressure to our elected leaders to do their duty. And he's made 'em sweat...

Eliminate ALL donations to political candidates and parties, and put Americans ALL on the same footing. Elections will become LOCAL, and representation of the little guy would result.

Yeah, sure. First of all, money equals speech to any sane conservative. Second, campaign contributions are not the problem. Oversized government is, and affected parties will always find a way to influence the politicians who pass laws that affect them.

So many 501 organizations never file, go out of business, or file after elections that there is virtually no disclosure at all.

I don't care what the 501s report, it is what the congresscritters report. Whenever they receive money, post the details on a special website.
