Pinellas County's Republican Party held a straw poll for the Sept. 5 primary at their Victory 2006 picnic Sunday. Looks like the local GOP, at least, is with Katherine Harris. Here are the results:

U.S Rep. District 9: Gus Bilirakis, 219; David Langheier, 7

Governor: Charlie Crist, 201; Tom Gallagher, 31; Vernon Palmer, 1

CFO: Tom Lee, 115; Randy Johnson, 110; Milt Bauguess, 2

State Senate District 16: Kim Berfield, 132; Frank Farkas, 85

House District 48: Peter Nehr, 93; Ken Peluso, 54; Brian Flaherty, 45; Robin Borland, 14

House 50: Nancy Riley, 151; Ed Hooper, 56

House 51: Bruce Cotton, 118; Dottie Reeder, 90

House 54: Rod Jones, 87; Jim Frishe, 83; Mike Petruccelli, 37; David Vecchio, 4

Gallagher's been consistant since 1998.

He has been in public life for 32 years. And he's been consistent for only eight of those years?

If it weren't for Tom Gallagher's supporters, you'd be here all alone. Where'd Crist's loyal supporters run off to and they left you in charge?

HVD says: "Perhaps you should have watched the debate earlier this week, you would have heard Crist state that he believed that children should only be adopted by one man and one woman."

Then WHY didn't Crist answer the question on the Marriage Amendment and the others below?

"Crist is almost like a Democrat-lite," said Jim Kitchens, an Orlando political consultant and pollster.

We must.....NEVER FORGET.....Crist & Reno....Perfect together?

I find this disturbing and an indication that Crist is a RINO who is sympathetic to the homosexual agenda:

CRIST....gave NO RESPONSE....to these questions on the Christian Coalition Questionaire:

"Public schools teaching homosexuality as an acceptable lifestyle.

"Amend the Constitution to define marriage as a man and a woman"

"Prohibit Embryonic Stem Cell research that destroys a human embryo"

"Voluntary student-led prayer at school related events"

Actually he's been consistant throughout. Charlie has yet to learn the meaning of the word.

Until he had a kid he admits that he was a centrist. But when he was one he was consistant

People can mature and come to realizations. That's quite different from someone who says one thing one day, another the next, and so on and on. Such a person has no principles, makes wild promises that no one even believes and will be raked over the coals for doing so before the General Election.

Is that the newest NBA farm team? They can't find talent like they used to.

Perhaps they are contacting voters and working at polling places, as early voted has already started. Has Gallagher's team already given up?

In 1994, Gallagher told The Miami Herald he was ''pro-choice,'' after previously proclaiming he was pro-life. Now Gallagher calls Crist ''pro-choice'' and says he is the ``only pro-life candidate in the race.''

So, Gallagher became pro-life after having a son. What caused him to switch from pro-life to pro-choice prior to 1994?

Given up? See you at the debate Monday night. How will Crist answer a detailed question this time? a. I believe in America. b. I believe in freedom.

"This is America. I can wear anything I want to. I believe in freedom." Crist
