OSC Show on the Road!
- Beautiful Day in Johnstown –

August 22nd found 12th District OSC Director Nikki Sheppick and her Second-in-Command, District Assistant Laura Hough (pronounced "Huff," for those who are wondering), traveling to Johnstown for one of their traveling Operation Street Corner display events. 

The day was beautiful, and Johnstown has a very nice Central Park with large beautiful shade trees.  We were in the nicest of environments.

Two of our Johnstown colleagues, Harry & Tony, volunteered to accompany us during our 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM event.  Incidentally, the Johnstown City Manager was most cooperative in giving us permission to set up our display.

Arriving a little late due to delays along the way, Laura and I arrived shortly after 11:00 AM, and quickly (yes, things happen quite fast with OSC) met up with Harry and Tony.  They pointed out that Frank Kools, a reporter from the Dutch national newspaper "Trouw" (www.trouw.nl), and his photographer were already on the scene and had spoken to them. 

Some passersby stopped to peruse the information; one couple were rude and breezed by (maybe too scared to stop and debate?); and some stopped to discuss politics.  We had many visitors--most were friendly, but a few were rude.  Many wanted information and were friendly and respectful and wanted to discuss the issues.

During our OSC visit to Johnstown, two television reporters with cameramen showed up--Channel 6 (NBC affiliate) and Channel 8 (Fox affiliate) and interviewed several of us for the nightly news.  I hope many voters in the 12th District caught it!  Curiously, we were right around the corner from the Johnstown "Tribune-Democrat," and not a single reporter came out to see us. 

We packed up and left around 3:00 PM and were on our way again, dropping off some distribution items in the Somerset area to our contact there.  Things are movin' and groovin,' as they say!

Hey, everybody!  Don't hold ANYthing against Johnstown; for the most part, there are very nice people living there.  32 years is a lo-o-n-n-g-g time to have to put up with someone who no longer represents the silent majority of 12th District voters.

OK. So lets see that silent majority go into action. They had better understand, that they not only can vote the guy out for their immediate sakes, but for what is good for this country. He has done entirely to much damage against the credibility of the WOT this administration knows must be carried forth. This is no little game. Our futures and our kids futures depend on America uniting behind this POTUS on these critical issues.

You picked a cool shady spot, good going. You are showing intelligence that MSM, Murtha and the others never had.

IMHO, I liked the singular message of exposing Murtha. It keeps the overt politics muted and probably got more people to come over to you. Once voters get into your web sites, Diane Irey's name will come up.

Way to go. Keep up the great work for those who can't make it to PA12 but have donated to Irey.
