Jessica has had a rough time. dont judge her. wish her the best and say a prayer for her. At the same time, don't celebrate bad decisions like becoming an unwed mother while still going through therapy to recover from injuries.

.......I don't believe this Bronze Star holder (and, for what....? opps; sorry... that's another story for another time...!!) was ever a paraplegic, was she...? I remember she had some serious injuries as a result of her ordeal, but never became a paraplegic... I do believe she was also raped while in captivity, but, of course, in today's modern military, that part of her ordeal apparently is "off limits" to discussion... the femenists who run this country today would cut off yer, er, um, ah, head if you brought up THAT little matter....!!!

I predict this thread goes 400 responses. One can clearly see two schools of thought here!Yes, those who have tact and those who don't. I find it really distastful to call this young woman names when she did her part for this country and paid dearly for it. Remember folks, this is the forum where we claim to ~support~ the troops.

Jessica has had a rough time. dont judge her. She and all the other unwed mamas. You've obviously bought into the Culture of Victimization which likes to sprinkle a bit of Christian seasoning ("say a prayer for her") over what was formerly referred to as "sin."
Of course, the real victim here--as in every one of these cases--is another child who will have to raise him/herself unless and until mama and daddy grow up.

her baby will be a blessing from God to her and the father.
no baby is a mistake.

DO CHRISTIANS SIN ?
the answer is yes.
A Christian is a saved sinner.

I was hoping and praying for the safe return of Lynch, but I was also praying for her friend, Shoshanna Johnson, who was also a prisoner in Iraq for a while.
Lynch's case got a lot more publicity, though Johnson's situation was no less tense. The difference in attention given by the media, and the American public, I hate to say it, was race.
Lynch was the pretty white blond girl, and Shoshanna was an African American. I am not one to cry racist foul quickly or without thought, but it;s clear to me at the very least a pervasive & tacit bigotry made Lynch a star, and Shoshanna an afterthought.
It sucks.

.........no, not at all!! it's just that her situation seems to be distressingly similar to that of a female Army flight surgeon whose helicopter was shot down during the first Gulf war, if I recall....she did not reveal until 'way after the situation that her captors had raped her several times.... she didn't apparently think it was any big deal.... "occupational hazard," and all that, ya know....!!
To: HitmanLV
i thought the same thing in the past.

Different last names doesn't mean they aren't married.
