BOSNIA: LIKE IT OR LEAVE, SAYS MUSLIM LEADER

Sarajevo, 24 August (AKI) - Bosnian Muslim leader Sulejman Tihic has told local Serbs to stop talking about a possible referendum on independence, because Bosnia was indivisible and those who don’t like it should leave the country. Tihic, who currently chairs Bosnia’s three-man rotating state presidency, has been an outspoken advocate of Muslim demands for the abolition of Bosnia’s Serb entity, Republika Srpska (RS). Local Serbs for their part have threatened to hold a referendum on independence. The quarrel prompted the high representative of the international community in Bosnia, Christian Schwarz Schilling, to intervene last week demanding that politicians on both sides should stop “inflammatory rhetoric” ahead of the 1 October general election, adding that calls for abolition of RS and threats of a referendum were equally damaging. -----

But the international community, which safeguards peace in Bosnia, has been stripping entities of state prerogatives in an effort to strengthen central government. Bosnian Serbs, the second biggest ethnic group, have resisted changes, fearing domination by majority Muslims. -----

“Those who don’t like it, who are still dreaming of a failed project of Greater Serbia, or some Serbian state in Bosnia, can go somewhere else, but they can’t take with them an inch of Bosnian territory,” said Tihic.

Instead of heeding Schwarz-Schilling's appeal for calm, political analysts say such bickering is likely to increase, with politicians on both sides appealing to nationalistic passions prior to the October elections.

So, Muslim leader said "Christians can leave Bosnia, on foot"...

What else is new.? Muslims are making Caliphate in Bosnia with EU help, and want Christians out.
I think that it is time to realy separate Christian Republika Srpska from Muslim caliphate

And State departamnt allready stands on Muslim side... again...
A U.S. envoy says Bosnia-Herzegovina is a sovereign state and the Bosnian Serb entity cannot secede.
U.S. Ambassador to Bosnia-Herzegovina Douglas McElhaney said there is no secession for the Bosnian Serb-led Republika Srpska, Belgrade's Beta news agency reported Thursday.
Earlier this summer Bosnian Serbs leaders suggested they could organize an independence referendum to secede from Bosnia-Herzegovina.
With the 1995 Dayton peace accords that ended the Bosnian ethnic wars, the Republika Srpska entity and the Muslim-Croatian federation entity were declared constituent parts of the single state of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
"The status of Bosnia-Herzegovina has been solved. I am not aware of any reference in the constitution about secession or a referendum. That is simply not an option, and if somebody wants to change the constitution, he must have a two-thirds majority in parliament," McElhaney told Bosnian news agencies.
McElhaney said he believes parliamentary elections in October will not bring no major changes, as the essence of elections and democracy is that one group of people are stepping down from power while the others are replacing them.

True, but this legacy actually dates back to the first Bush administration.

It's also pretty interesting to note how many of the so-called "neo-conservatives" in the current Bush administration were unabashed supporters of the Clinton administration's policy in the Balkans.

Conservative, my @ss.

"those who don’t like it should leave the country"

I'm thinking the same thing for our country.

I think you're getting Bosnia and Kosovo mixed up.

Bosnia -- a Muslim-dominated region -- didn't exist as a separate entity from Yugoslavia until the U.S. formally recognized it as an independent state in 1992.

"Mommy do we believe in piece?"
"No, we believe in pieces. Now go make mommy proud and blow yourself into some."

With exception that Muslime is talking of purging 50% of population, e.i. all Christians in order to build himself a nice, small Caliphate...

No need to apologize. LOL.

Your sentiments are correct . . . it's just that the U.S. has had the same idiotic pro-Islamic policy in the Balkans through the last THREE administrations (including the current one).

Nothing to it. Bosnia is communist and supported at least its muslime elements by Saudi Arabia, Al Qaeda, and unfortunatly USA, generaly made up state that consists from Muslims that rules the so called country and some 50% of Christian Serbs that want out of caliphate. Serbs want referendum and sucession from Islamistic central goverment supported by UN and EU.
