Murthasystic Disorder (Murthalisis) is the psychotic delusion that everyone (or all members of some specified group) agrees with the sufferer when, in fact, the issue at hand is highly controversial, and a strong or overwhelming majority emphatically deny adherence to or sympathy with the sufferer's pronouncements. The victim of Murthalisis will claim that such disavowals are only what the apparent dissenter "must" say publicly, but will invariably insist: "If you ask them in private he/she will agree that I'm right." Or: "He/she told me privately that I'm right; but they won't admit that to anyone else."
The only effective treatment for Murthasystic Disorder is forced retirement from all positions of public trust, responsibility and influence.
