I now recall that that is the basis for the multi-passport scenario. The reporter's bio looks like he's probably a truth teller. This one might be difficult.
Late 70s, I knew industry people in foreign military sales that had two US passports. One for Arab countrues and one for others. You could get into trouble in Arab countries if they saw visas from certain other countries in your passport. Solution: two passports.

Yep & yep. Even if he is a left wing tool, he's doing a tough job, in a rough neighborhood. Much as I despise some of the outrageous crap by many so called "journalists", this kind of crap is just wrong.
Certainly not. I'm saying, there *may* not be much that our State Department can do for him & odds are, he knew that going in. He was there working & wasn't just on a pleasure tour. I'm sure we're doing everything we can for the guy, which is appropriate.
