Possible plane crash in Lexington, KY. My brother works security for Lexington UK Hospital and was just called in. No news locally or on major news outlets yet. I didn't want to post anything for fear of being wrong, but he's still waiting for an official call while on stand-by.

Update from WTVQ 36 Lexington:

A plane has crashed near the Blue Grass Airport this morning. No word on details at this time. We are told it was a commercial aircraft. Versailles Road is blocked as emergency vehicles circle around the site. We have live coverage beginning at 7:20am. Stay with Action News 36 for more details.

If the eyewitness is correct about the boom before the flash of light, that's disturbing.

I'm speculating here... Perhaps they hit some power lines?

Makes sense. I hope that's the case.

Louisville TV, Channel 32, is saying all 51 on board are dead.

FNC now announcing that ALL onboard were killed...47 passengers and 3 crew members. So sad. Devastating to their families...prayers for all of them.

Thanks...too bad it had to be reported. It's all about the sources and who gets the call first. Prayers to the families involved.

Yes. Brad picked up his wife's cell. He had not even heard of it. They have a 10 year old. Prayers for him. Thomas. This is more scary for him than for adults.

Listening to live streaming of a local radio there, they just had the press conference, 1 survivor taken to a local hospital, plane crashed into a farm field just west of the airport. 49 confirmed dead by airport spokescritter at the newsconference, 46 passengers, 3 crew. Unsure if the 'one survivor' is counted in that number or not, but if the survivor is in addition, that'd equal the 50 that's widely reported.

Bombardier

And the few flights I have had on them, I felt it was a close to flying in a private business jet that I will ever get.

Streaming has gone to commercials, hoping that they come back. Caught the tail end of the conference.

The surviver is "in critical condition" per MSNBC.

I posted earlier that the survivor was the captain. No news about the condition.

Fox News Channel is more absorbed with its reporters being released.

CNN must not have an affiliate in the area.

MSNBC has best coverage on cable so far.

CNN just announced a 10am Press Conference with Comair.
