"They could cut their payroll in half if they just got rid of all the Ward Churchills on their staffs."

If they did that they wouldn't have anyone left to indoctrinate, er-- teach students.

'That 'place' in an insult to "Chicago", all "States" and every "University".'

Ahhhh ... good ole ChicSU, scaling the heights of mediocrity.

What does Jew and Christian killing have to do with prosecuting someone for treason.

How did retards get to be college professors in the first place?

Because they are intellectual and social retards and couldn't make it in the "real" world of competition and performance. By staying in academia they for all practical purposes never leave the warmth and safety of the womb. Not all...but most!

A college professor is by definition a specialist, and it is a rare individual who can master more than one subject to the level of profession. Outside of those areas they can believe any damnfool thing they like and their podia give them an opportunity to proselytize it.

The real crime is the academy has expanded to include certain political grievances as areas of scholarship - the "studies" curricula, notably - and that the lack of intellectual rigor within them allows for the accession of charlatans and snake-oil salesmen such as Ward Churchill, Catharine McKinnon, Stanley Fish, Cornell West, and those whose specialities are clearly outside the area of their notoriety such as Noam Chomsky. Taking political advice from a lunatic linguist isn't much of an improvement over taking it from a drug-sodden musician. IMHO.

***I wasn't aware that Chicago State was around in '69 - I thought they opened later.***

I found it.. "In 1967, the school became Chicago State College. The school was renamed Chicago State University in 1971."

It was Chicago Teachers College prior to 67. And all I know is that 'place' always had a rotten rep, even for "teachers colleges". Morons all.

Should college professors be fired for expressing radical views?

No.

Should these college professors be fired for being vicious commie wolves in academic sheep's clothing?

YES!

The comments themselves are but a symptom of a much more profound and disturbing reality. These professors hate America and tirelessly do all they can to hasten its downfall.

Actually, that is an excellent answer to a question I've always wondered about. Never thought of it in that way.

Radical views?

No.

New ideas HAVE to come from a "radically" different viewpoint, because that is the nature of new ideas.

But, PROMOTING a RADICAL (political) idea based on a PURE LIE is grounds for firing.

Proclaiming these (political) lies is as reprehensible as claiming the earth is flat. You can claim it is, but all of your proclamations do not change the facts.

And THAT, is the failure of today's (political/economic/philosophical/emotional) arguments and theories as taught: they ARE NOT grounded in truth, so they CANNOT be used as a foundation for further arguments or discussions.

Except to other radical (politicians/socialists) teaching to fellow radical politicians/socialists, who are not grounded in reality either.

Even worse than arguing and debating falsehoods, is TEACHING them to new minds. but that is the nature of the socialist: her "big lie" IS their argument. And socialism, IS the religion of these people who want to dominate and destroy our culture.

Sorry to be so pop-ignorant, but, who is Kanye West and are we supposed to guess how to pronounce the first name?

Heresy is independent thought. That might be important to control in a dogmatic institution, but in the world at large it should be not only allowed but encouraged.

You are soooo right! Google on "Cultural Marxism"- you can get a history of these jerks infiltrating the American campi.

Should college professors be fired for expressing radical views?

No, but they should be fired for lying to their students. And any professor who won't open their raw data up for peer review (a favorite game of leftists who know their data doesn't hold up) should be drop-kicked out of the door of all universities and colleges and their research ignored.

Just an extension of being a professional student. They go from PS to teaching.

Most of these people couldn't get a job in their field, couldn't function in the real world and workplace.

Unlike the real world or the political world, in the
collegiate system there is only 1 party. David Horowitz
of www.frontpagemag.com fame is trying to open the eyes
of State governments to the fact that ~95 of tenured
professors are leftist in their views. These same
professors persecute (and subsequently do not hire) those
who are not of their same political affiliation.

This is why we have the likes of Ward Churchill, Noam
Chomsky, etc. leading our campuses and our children to
leftist ignorance.

So "Kanye" is an Ebonicism, that refuses to Anglicize? How quaint! I think I'll name myself, "anselma mfmma plkkaa" just for fun, just for today.
