Today, CNNs Kyra Phillips got caught, well, with her skirt down. Someone in CNN left her mic open and on the air as she went to the loo in the middle of President Bushs speech commemorating the Katrina anniversary. So instead of getting the presidents remarks, CNNs audience got that and Phillips in some girl-chat. Click to watch/listen.

Can somebody tell me how to capture this vid?
The following technique also works with youtube.com and most videos that are in macromedia/flv format:
For WinXP, [others, use your find function]
1. WinKey + F or open your Find Files function.
2. Search on today's date only, all files.
3. Sort the results by Date/Time.
4. On the resulting list, look for a fl***.tmp file that was at the approximate time and which is a relatively large file.
Results may vary, but on my system, the file is: fla81.tmp
5. Copy that fla*.tmp to another permanent directory. [Note: you may have to close your browser, if you get a 'file in use' error.]
6. Rename the file and change the .tmp to .flv. The file should play in your default FLV player.
If you do not have an FLV player, you can download a free one at this link:
FLV Player.

"Her Thanksgiving dinner with the family ought to be fun this year."
Phillips' sister-in-law is probably making Phillip's brother's life a living hell right now.

She's lucky. It could have been much worse. She must be thanking God she didn't have the taco pie for lunch.

Have ya noticed that CNN has a lot of mess ups with their mics
Remember during the 2004 convention when the balloons wouldn't come down

I see your original thread is back up.

I would imagine John Stewart (Although I don't watch TV. Don't have programming) having a field day with this. I picture a parody involving a reporter named Miss Read and a sound man misunderstanding the director when he suggested having an Open Mic night.

I would imagine that if her sister-in-law is, in fact, a control freak, the sister-in-law would be responsible for converting her husband into a monk.

Frankly, so do I.
I would not be surprised if the entire "oversight" was staged.
