(08-29) 15:20 PDT SAN FRANCISCO -- As many as 14 people were injured this afternoon by a motorist who drove around San Francisco running them down before he was arrested, authorities said.
Seven of those injured were in critical condition, police and firefighters said.
Authorities have identified the man who was arrested as Ohmeed Aziz Popal, who has an address in Ceres.
Authorities said they believe Popal was the same driver who ran over a 55-year-old man walking in a bicycle lane in Fremont, at Fremont Boulevard near Ferry Lane, just after noon. That victim died.
Popal was arrested at a Walgreens at Spruce and California streets.

One dead, nine injured in apparent hit-and-run spree

SAN FRANCISCO — One person was killed and at least 13 injured when a man intentionally targeted pedestrians with his sport utility vehicle on both sides of San Francisco Bay, according to police.
The driver was in police custody. His name was not immediately released, but Department of Motor Vehicles records show the license plate on the SUV is registered to Omeed A. Popal of Fremont.
An aide to the mayor who spoke on condition of anonymity because the matter was under investigation said Popal was the suspect in custody. He was injured and in stable condition, the aide said.

That address would put it about 1.5 blocks west of the incidents at the far left of the map.
I did hear that mayor Newsom, the putz, says that it wasn't a hate crime....of course, the problem with that is, that I don't believe a word Newsom says.
From the looks of the map, most of the victims were in black and Japanese districts.

Hugh Hewitt was talking about this attack and was angry that the local news papers, or TV channels were not reporting it, except in a generic manner. Not mentioning the drivers name or anything about him.

Naturally, it being SF, no one had a gun. Carry permits are not issued and most of the gun stores have been run out of town.
