Muslim Radicals: Piggybacking on Terrorism (Daniel Pipes Alert)
Front Page Magazine ^ | 30 August 2006 | Daniel Pipes

Two days after August 10 – when British authorities broke up an alleged plot to blow up multiple aircraft over the Atlantic Ocean – the "moderate" Muslim establishment in Britain published an aggressive open letter to Prime Minister Tony Blair.

It suggested that Blair could better fight terrorism if he recognized that current British government policy, especially with regard to "the debacle of Iraq," provides "ammunition to extremists." The letter writers demanded he change his foreign policy to "make us all safer." One prominent signatory, Labour MP Sadiq Khan, added that Blair's reluctance to criticize Israel increased the pool of people from which terrorists can recruit.

In other words, Islamists working within the system exploited the thwarted Islamist terror plot to pressure the British government to implement their joint wishes and reverse British policy in the Middle East. Lawful Islamists shamelessly leveraged the near-death of thousands to forward their agenda.

Despite its reported fears of Muslim street unrest, the Blair government heatedly rejected the letter. Foreign Secretary Margaret Beckett called it "the gravest possible error." Foreign Office minister Kim Howells dismissed it as "facile." Home Secretary John Reid deemed it a "dreadful misjudgment [to think that the] foreign policy of this country should be shaped in part, or in whole, under the threat of terrorism activity." Transport Secretary Douglas Alexander rejected the letter as "dangerous and foolish."

Can you imagine , during WWII, after a night of bombing, "moderate" germans in London demanding Churchill abandon his "sympathy" for Jews in order to avoid further bombings ? Imagine these same "german moderates" suggesting that casting a suspicious eye on germans wearing nazi armbands might further arouse animosity amongst the "german youth" resident in London ?

How orwellian it has all become. When our response finally comes in true "proportianality" to the threat there will be a global "wailing and nashing of teeth". The deaths of millions will, per usual, lay at the feet of the lunatic left.

Vote democrat, or equally ruinous, pout at the imperfections and fail to vote republican, and you become a willing tool in the slaughter that must come if we fail to prevail at this stage.

This has been obvious for a long time now, and becoming increasingly bold, uncompromising and intolerable.
It will go down in history as the ultimate irony that two of the most powerful countries on earth, and also two of the oldest working democracies, allowed their very foundation to be used to destroy themselves. The apocryphal "suicide pact" made real.

A further irony is that one of the youngest democracies, Turkey, immediately and unequivocally responded to similar internal treason and sedition with these words:

"Everybody must know that the Turkish armed forces will not tolerate the use of the opportunities of democracy by the enemies of the system as a means to dynamite the basic principles of our state...”
retiring Chief of Staff General Huseyin Kivrikoglu, Turkey

War is war. War "by other means" is still war. There is nothing "civil" about civil war but, unless a conscious, unequivocal and uncompromising effort is made to nip it in the bud, it is the inevitable consequence of the long term toleration of forces foreign to any culture which fails to rise up and, violently if necesary, consciously and deliberately prevents it.

As an American, I can flat out state that the possibility of a muslim serving in any state legislature, or in our Congress as a muslim, is close to zero.
The possibility of shari'a being imposed on me (or anyone else I know) in the United States of America, is essentially zero". That is small comfort, if the road to that ultimate confrontation is made more deadly and difficult through use of our own laws.

There is no reason why our president and our congress cannot make that statement officially, tersely to each and every muslim state that thinks differently. And repeat it as often as necessary.
The ultimate separation of "church" and state.

Why these ultimata and why at this time? The leader of the August 14 Muslim delegation, Syed Aziz Pasha, explained his group's logic: "We told [the politicians] if you give us religious rights, we will be in a better position to convince young people that they are being treated equally along with other citizens." More ominously, Pasha threatened the government leaders. "We are willing to co-operate but there should be a partnership. They should understand our problems, then we will understand their problems."

The response to this "tactic" is obvious, necessary and should be made clear as often as necessary:

In Great Britain (or in the U.S for that matter), your "religious rights" are defined by our laws not those of the hell holes you came from. Be prepared to accept that or to return to your cultural system of choice. Australia, surprisingly, has already done just that.
"Being treated equally", will never mean denying all of our citizens of other faiths, or no faith at all, their rights, their freedom of speech and association, and their personal safety. Don't even go there".

No foreign culture must ever be allowed to even think that they are entitled, democratically or otherwise, to change our centuries-old system of laws, personal freedoms and the very fabric of our particular culture.

Daniel Pipes is the only (non-muslim) muslim expert that I know of with balls.
Bernard Lewis is a greater (pure academics) scholar, but is now hopelessly senile and PC.
