Couldn't we just beg more when the FReepathon comes up?

I really think it would be the perfect conservative advertisement for Jim with the Nascar Dad's!

Jr's show recap.....

No guest tonight. Jr was with Josh Snyder and Steve Crisp as usual. They opened talking about Bristol and the good run Jr had there. Jr said he didn't want to run the Bristol Busch race this year. Shane Huffman had a tough run with a crash. Robby Gordon will drive the 88 car this weekend in front of the hometown fans. Robby is on a mission to impress his friends and family there. They congratulated Matt Kenseth on his wins. Steve liked that Katie Kenseth was in Victory Lane twice this weekend. Josh was impressed with Matt's team. Jr said his pit crew was fast all weekend. Josh asked why Jr let Kyle Bush go by late in the race. Jr said he has an understanding with him and that he was faster. Jr didn't want to wreck either. Jr likes the tight Chase race saying 4th - 11th place are all very close.
Update on Josh's medical problem. Josh said his C3 and c4 discs are out and the nerves are pinched. He has been getting some cortisone shots and therapy to help it.

Cali next weekend. Thursday, Jr is doing media for Gillette Young Guns. They reminisced about a being in Cali one time and the limo had a flat tire. Josh, Jr, Martin and J.R. changed the tire before the tow truck came. Cali has some new features with the Wolfgang restaurant. They want to see how it compares to the Martinsville hotdogs. Kelly Clarkson will be the grand marshall. Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson might be there. Jr said that Kate wanted to meet Jr once as she heard he was the badest SOB. Jr is nervous about earthquakes there. He said lots of celebrities go to the race. Josh saw Lindsay Lohan there once and she had body guards around her. Arnold S. came to see Jr after he ran 3rd there in a race. Josh asked Jr is he was going to qualify better. Jr said they are taking chassis #39.

They commented on Sam Hornish to run some Nascar and ARCA races next year. They also mentioned Rusty Wallace's accident on Monday night.

Josh read some news:
1) Finland - mans throws cell phone to win contest.
2) Milwaukee - drunkest city in the world.

Emails:
1) How do you cure a hangover? Tylenol and Jr said he has cases of it.
2) Matt Kenseth made a comment after Saturday night's Bristol race about flashbulbs bothering him when Jr took the lead in the race. Do flashbulbs bother Jr's vision when racing especially at night? (This was my question) Only time Jr noticed is when he came off turn 4 in Texas when he won there in 2000.
3) What is the last thing you permanently borrowed? Josh said a lawnmover and sunglasses.
4) After a race, Jr seems to walk with a limp. Is this from mashing the throttle and brake? Or is it an old injury that comes back every now and then? (Another one of my questions) He said it is from mashing the gas, honey (yes, he called me honey ). He wants to put the throttle through the firewall.
5) Does Killer roam your property? No, he stays inside.
6) Ever been through a major storm? Yes, Hurricane Hugo. Blew some things around and lost power.
7) Ever drive to a track when it is close to home? Yes, Bristol and Darlington sometimes.
8) Where you at the lake this past Sunday? Yes and had a good old time.
9) Ever google Josh's name as you would be surprised? No.
10) How do the Skins look this year as they have not scored a touchdown? Jr thinks it might be a tough year.
11) After using the word "uncouth", how many people do you think ran to the dictionary? Mike Davis has been trying to get Jr to use the word.
12) What is rolling over? When turning the corner the right tire is going down and down and it feels like you are going to roll over.

Josh is getting a goat. They are looking for emails to name the goat. If they choose your name, they will send you a picture of the goat. Jr wants to name the goat Teddy Brewski. Jr said he saw the movie Invincible recently and said it was a good movie. Near the end, Steve said "Have we lost you Jr? Your reading the nutritional contents of a Bud Light...I think we've lost you".

In closing, Jr said to send some emails in.

It's "drunkest" city in America (ignoring, of course, the Vegas casinos, Mardi Gras in New Orleans, any Badger football game weekend in Madistan, and I'll go on and on....). Of course, we have some sort of festival going on at the Summerfest grounds just about every weekend during the summer, and there's all the church festivals too.

Just buying the team would burn up about an entire year's worth of FReepathons, and then there's the ongoing expenses even if we have one of our own take a crash course in Cup Racing 101 (getting a shop, paying a crew, paying Pete to haul around the cars, getting replacement parts, acquiring a COT or two).

I thought that was weird. In the whole world?

Probably a lot of beer drinkers there, but I doubt they out drink the Germans.

LOL on the car problems. I think we could get Pete cheap.

If you look quick and refresh the page the haulers are pulling in.

See you all tomorrow for qualifying.

Your winters would be just fine if they stayed like ours, in the 70s. :)

Prices are already down in this neck of the woods. Saw one this evening, on the highway, at $2.39

You must not have a heap of gas taxes, corn-a-hole or Algore/Whitman Memorial RFG to deal with. Still $2.86 or so up in the land of cheese and beer.

Don't exactly know what the taxes are but we do have them too. Wasn't much corn this year because of the early drought, but we would not waste it on fuel, corn is for making whiskey.

We have refineries! :)

Think Thunderdome.

I actually thought about opening the windows this morning. :)

We don't stop, but we do slow down for animals down here. Those 12 point hood ornaments just don't match with the smaller cars anymore.

check out the wheels on the 00 when you see it and join the F.F.S.W. - (fans for shiny wheels)

his car looks so much better

btw a friend of mine that trucks in construction, down it So Cal told me they built a new strip mall behind the main grandstand and now the wives of race fans can do it all from shopping to eating sushi while alpha male enjoys the race.

what they won't think of to try lure the masses

he also said the new drag strip is awesome, one long concrete pour and used that satelite gps process to make it perfectly level. sounds like Pomona raceway is on its way out for the NHRA pretty soon...

Yeah now that I have a smaller car I think more about what's lurking in the trees alongside the road. I still have my Suburban, maybe I should keep it for night time or early morning drives to town.
