Trump once said, "show me a person without an ego, and I'll show you a loser", or words to that effect. Trump has some common sense, but he is not a brilliant businessman. Atlantic City is a prime example - what was he thinking?? If Trump was his own employee, he would have been fired a long time ago.

My guess is that people took Carolyn more seriously than Donald.
He has a huge ego, and he doesn't want anyone else to get the limelight.
