(August 31, 2006)Texas death row inmate Derrick Frazier received a lethal injection just after 6 p.m. Tuesday in Huntsville for the 1997 slaying of a South Texas woman and her son.
Earlier in the day the US Supreme Court refused to halt the execution.
Frazier was one of two men sent to death row for the slayings of 41-year-old Betsy Nutt and her 15-year-old son, Cody, at their home on their Refugio County ranch.
Frazier's partner, Jermaine Herron, was put to death three months ago.
Frazier was the 20th Texas prisoner executed this year.
That's one more than all the executions last year in the nation's busiest capital punishment state.

I'm not going to name any other states with the initials S.D. and call them wussies or anything, but if you are sentenced to death here in Texas you'd best make peace with whatever gods you worship.

Well, in lieu of the last requested meal data, how 'bout the actual ingredients for a good ol' down home Texas Execution?!?
Here be the recipe:
Sodium Thiopental (lethal dose - sedates person)
Pancuronium Bromide (muscle relaxant-collapses diaphragm and lungs)
Potassium Chloride (stops heart beat)
The offender is usually pronounced dead approximately 7 minutes after the lethal injection begins.
Cost per execution for drugs used : $86.08

one of my handloads would cost a bit less. more fun to.

Yep still dead all the same. We are all judged in the end and found lacking. Some just lack a lot more.

If I may..to bring in another subject all together..at least this scumbag died instantly..poor Terry Schiavo was murdered for weeks at end..my two cents..
To: BerniesFriend
Terri Schiavo has nothing to do with this thread. Don't try to be a thread hijacker.

...one of my handloads would cost a bit less. more fun too. Uh uh. You gotta factor in the cleaning bill. Just try hiring that one. "Help Wanted, experienced cleaning person to scrub brains off a wall. Great benefits." This stuff costs money.

Terri Schiavo has nothing to do with this thread. Don't try to be a thread hijacker. Jeez..not only did you miss my point..you also show you have way too much free time..
To: mkjessup
I would say in the future, just skip the sedation chemicals.
Did their VICTIMS get sedated before their final minutes on earth??

I agree with COEXERJI45...Terry Schiavo has nothing to do with the lawful execution of a convicted murderer.
Quit trying to hijack threads!
And obviously you have too much free time if all can do is sit around and try to tie the two event together!

I'm sure he and Tookems have been sharing a lot of laughs together as they get their hair and makeup done so they can go out on the town with Satan...

I agree with you, but there's still a lot of sensitivity on the part of some people who have never been able to justify their support for the state's excruciating two-week murder-by-dehydration of Schiavo. My advice is to leave Schiavo for threads dealing with euthanasia, or Florida elections, or other related threads.

LH
