(I Support Research using the Ethical, Effective and Moral use of stem cells: non-embryonic "adult")
To: Coleus
What is the evidence that Alzheimer's can be destroyed by embryonic stem cells? They are still not even 100% positive (or very close to 100%) what exactly causes Alzheimer's, they only figure that it is caused by amyloid buildup (though they do have supporting evidence). Furthermore, there are brain stem cells. Shouldn't these adult stem cells be able to be turned into brain cells as easily--or moreso-- as embryonic stem cells (or are neurons the things which would have to be rebuilt)?
